More so than a lesser event, like pride for instance. UFC fighters and events more exciting without all the tractor pull and Wrestling hoopla kiddie pyrotechnics. Crowds much more "into it" at UFC events. pride groupies have little to no understanding of MMA overall (i.e. most pride groupies think elbows shouldn't be used and that all fights MUST go to a decision).

For the most part yes. I dont follow it loyally like some do ie. Mr. Dio. But I do watch the big ones and I get pretty pumped. Usually the undercards are even better than the main events.

Jesse James was on the Ticket promoting the mma in town, and he said boxers take much more sustained abuse than mma guys.

It's a medical fact that boxing is more dangerous.

Here's one study...the # of deaths in boxing is staggering, but it's accepted for some reason. The 1 MMA death was in Europe...a fighter not cleared by his doctor to fight.

Boxers take way more head trauma, and they're allowed time to recover, only to take more head trauma...

People think MMA is worse because the gloves are smaller, or because knees, elbow, and feet are allowed. Big gloves allow the guy being punched to take more shots which means more times that the brain is slamming against the skull. Is a guy takes a big strike with a knee he's probably done for night. Stop defending yourself and the ref stops it...

I really love MMA but their has been an element recently that came on the board & fucked much of it up by having this attitude and blindness towards the UFC.

You can see that above and realize which Opie I'm speaking of. Funny thing is she gets others to write and complain about me because they have no answer to the truth, that hurts her badly.

To Bad and soo sad, UFC is THE king you pride bitches, SO SUCK MY DICK! :lol :lol :lol

Why is it crap??

It's MMA on free TV. There are some quality fighters in the competition...

Quality fighters, but they are way worse than even Pride for the cheesey manner in which they present their product. It's so ridiculous that it's almost not worth watching.

There is talent and good fighters, and you're right, it's free, so why not.

It's definitely lower budget...I guess I just watch the fights and not much else. I DVR everything, so I don't watch the crap. The announcers aren't the best either, but neither is Goldberg...

Roman fights tonight...
