View Full Version : I have an idea: What about Rose for .... Zo

Now before I am crucified think about this, not many teams have the assets to waste on Mourning because he is a serious health risk. However with the upcomming offseason approaching, Scola up for a contract, Devin Brown in need of more money also, and Rose apparently asking for a trade, dropping his salary for some much needed help up front that wont tie us up nearly as much ( I doubt Mourning will choose to play next season should he win a ring this year, something we are extreamley capable of doing with his help).... It seems like a win win to me. Zo wants out of New Jersey, they want a younger skilled Power Forward like Rose and both teams wind up happy right?

Don't ever count on a player's retiring when tens of millions of dollars are at stake.

I'd be worried about Zo making it through the season if he can't take the same anti-inflammatories.

i remember some rough words were exchanged before the seattle game to the affect of Rose feeling he would never get out of Pop's doghouse and just wanted to move on (to antoher team?) quickly. This is second hand knowldege though.

Haha. Zo deserting to San Antonio. Wouldn't that just ruffle Jason Kidd's feathers?

Not that I would want the Spurs to go out on a limb to get 'Zo, but in his defense, the guy is a real class act, one of the best in the sports world. Sure, he has some complaints about the team he's on, but really, the team he is playing for is not the same team that he signed with. Anybody would complain in his situation.

I think it might have been the NY Post but they mentioned as a last resort trading Zo and Kidd for Spree and Sam Cassell.

Hmm....
This is the first I have ever heard that Rose WANTED to be traded.

I don't think he wants to be traded. He likes it here. :)

Shit, as much as I dislike Rose's play over the last year and a half, I want no part of Alonzo Mourning.

Hello cap albatross.

with the upcomming offseason approaching

we're six games into an 82 game season -- a season that likely won't end until late May or early June of 2005, and we're already talking about NEXT offseason. Nice.
