Shop malik rose?? I highly doubt it.

Id shop Horry and move another player, before Id move Rose.

rose will be traded he is expandable

Is that the same as the Dockers Expandable jeans?

They better trade him before he turns into another Oliver Miller.

I was rolling. This is another classic post. Ducks, you're the best. You crack me up.

Why would you "highly doubt it?" Rose was shopped last season and over the summer before we had backup big men at all.

If Malone comes, Rose will most certainly be shopped. With Malone and Horry up front, the Spurs would be O.K.

Besides, the Spurs have shown a desire to get out of Rose's contract. They would unload him over Horry in a heartbeat because of the contract issue.

I'm not saying I prefer Horry over Rose...I don't. I would rather have Rose than Malone. But if Malone comes, Rose will be shopped again. Bank on it.

Actually, I heard that Malone had met with Pop prior to his comments about knowing his answer but would only give it to Pop if pressured.

Pop was on the Ticket 760 last week. He said that he was going to have a sit-down with Malone soon but it hadn't happen yet at that time.

Ducks, I will e-mail them tonight and wait for a reply. I have felt all along that he would end up in SA. I hate the guy but he is exactly what the team needs in terms of toughness, leadership and someone who will help off the court. Karl Malone in a Spur uniform makes me want to :vomit but we better get ready for it because it's my opinion that it will happen soon!

What up, Coach?

Payton would get a better reception if he became a Spur than if Evil does, 'cept Payton would be the one more likely to disrupt team chemistry. Evil for all of his faults did play a team game last season and committed himself to giving the Lakers what they needed without complaint.

There is the possibility that getting Evil would make the Spurs think they could dump Rose. Honestly they need both Evil and Rose since the starting center is you know who.

Sup Solid :)

I'm not from Chicago but two of my best friends work for the Bulls and are legit. We get alot from them but they will never say anything unless they know it's FACT. They have both been of the opinion that Malone would wear the silver and black from the get go. They get alot of insider info but not as much as they did when Jabba was running the show.

They are the guys that text messaged me before the Marbury trade and when the Spurs appeal was shot down after the Fisher shot. They deal in facts nothing else but they both feel that Malone is aiming towards SA.

Malone is a tough SOB and he would be a good addition but I can't say I would like it. If he helps deliver another title to SA I think I could deal with that though.

Kori - I understand what was reported and what Pop said in the interview. But my sources still say Pop had already talked/met with Malone before that and there may have been a physical involved.

KoriEllis
09-22-2004, 01:59 AM
He definitely had already talked to him via telephone, etc. He's been doing that all summer. I just don't know if they had met in person yet. Pop went on vacation to Maine when he returned from the Olympics. That's not to say Malone hasn't talked to RC or someone else.

Nothing yet fellas. It takes him a few days to get back to me most of the time. Like I said they have both been of the opinion that he would be a Spur from the start. I think Karl knows that SA is the best place for him because of their approach to the game. It's a no nonsense environment where the goal is simple. Pop has done what he has said he would do and given Karl space and respect. In the end I think Karl will be in San Antonio for the start of camp but not be able to practice for quite some time. I would not be surprised if he kept his kids in school in Cali and still came to SA to play ball. I'll let you all know as soon as I get anything. Until then it's just opinions and trying to put two and two together.

CosmicCowboyXXX

My guess is that he doesn't commit to anyone right now...he can afford to stay in California with his family and therapy/workout privately...then, when he is ready to play he will look at his options...who is injured, which teams had a good start...which teams didn't...which teams have the best chance of going all the way, etc...it's his last shot at a ring and he won't want to blow it again...

Funny, today I was at lunch with a friend of mine and I was just saying that I can root for the Jazz now that Malone is gone from there. Karl as a Laker made it easy because the player I always despise and cheer against was on the team I like the least.

I'm not sure what would happen if Karl Malone joined my beloved Spurs. I'd suspect such a move would set off a chain reaction that would result in the end of life on this planet as we know it.
