When debating about the post duncan era, i tried to figure out how the NBA ranking would be without the franchise players of all the NBA teams.
I mean:
Spurs without TD
Suns without Nash
Mavs without Dirk
Rockets without Ming
Lakers without Kobe
Miami without... Wade
Cavaliers without King James, so on so on....

Right now, I would go for Detroit, Houston and San antonio

Expect the Magic to be getting better as Dwight Howard matures.
Expect the Raptors to get decent based on the development of Chris Bosh, TJ Ford and hopefully Andrea Bargnani.

Oh yea, if the Grizzlies win either Durant or Oden then they could be downright deadly with Gasol (or whatever he fetches in trade value) Rudy Gay and Durant/Oden.

it depends if the great prospects pan out
it depends if tp resigns with the spurs
it depends if tp can do a better job convincing players to say yes to the spurs then duncan
