I can't believe it's this tight of a race in the final week of the season. A&M has to win at Texas for a chance at the championship, otherwise, the UT-KU game is for it 'all' (Yes, I realize there would be co-champions, but lets be honest, top dog gets the bragging rights)

Big 12 Tiebreakers - the four situations I posted above are the four possible outcomes based on these guidelines:
(a) If two teams are tied and they are from different divisions, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the higher seed.
(b) If two teams are tied and they are from the same division, the team with an advantage in head-to-head competition shall be the higher seed.
(c) If two teams remain tied, there will be a comparison of overall record against division teams only (10 divisional games).
(d) If two teams remain tied, there will be a comparison of record against the highest ranked team(s) (based upon Conference winning percentage) in the division and proceeding through in order of divisional record.
(e) If two teams remain tied, there will be a *comparison of record against the highest ranked team(s) (based upon Conference winning percentage) in the opposite division and proceeding through in order of divisional record.
(f) If two teams remain tied, the higher seed will be chosen by draw.
If Texas wins out, they will win the tiebreaker over Texas A&M based on Division record, and the tiebreaker over Kansas based on head-to-head matchup.
If Texas A&M wins out while Kansas defeats Texas, Texas A&M will win the tiebreaker over Kansas based on head-to-head matchup.
If Texas defeats A&M but loses to Kansas, Kansas will win the conference outright.
If Texas A&M and Kansas both beat Texas but A&M loses to Missouri, Kansas will win the conference outright.
and so on and so on and so on....

so its the divisional record, if t.u. beats A&M and kansas, then? i must apologize, although you must understand there is a zero chance t.u. beats A&M and kansas. i already told the t.u. fans here...just that.
good work :tu

Correct
If Texas A&M wins out while Kansas defeats Texas, Texas A&M will win the tiebreaker over Kansas based on head-to-head matchup.
This is only for purposes of seeding in the conference tourney. A&M and KU would share the conference 'title'.
If Texas defeats A&M but loses to Kansas, Kansas will win the conference outright.
Correct.

Seriously. Its completely embarassing to have the same conf record as Neb.

UT is playing well. I could see them winning @ KU or home vs atm. Most likely scenario if you are going with the home team fave is KU beating UT and UT beating atm giving KU the outright B12.

The only way UT beats A&M is if A&M plays D like they did against Baylor. Not likely, because I am sure Billy is working on them about that very point right this minute.
I seriously think A&M is too good offensively to be kept in check by Texas' defense, and too good defensively to allow UT to out score them.
I see a good game, but A&M will win by 7-11 pts.

nah, my 'crazy' prediction will come true. t.u. isn't capable of beating A&M on any court...t.u. loses the next two.

I guess if A&M blows the next two can we call it "pulling an OSU"?

I also love the moral and stylistic high ground that CaptMike has adopted the more his team has sucked.
Days of him bleating "RPI" are also a thing of the past.

For that to happen we'd have to borrow a DeLorean with a flux capacitor, go back to the beginning of the conf. season, and then proceed to lose all our road games. Then we could call it "pulling an OSU". Losing two important games in a row is just "pulling a dirk".

If the Cats are still firmly on the bubble (and on the outside looking in according to many prognosticators), I don't see how Tech can be "in" right now being a full 2 games behind them in the standings.

I cannot believe noone has mentioned UT has teh best chance out of all three teams for this reason alone:
They are in complete control of their destiny.
See, JGW, cannot say shit to this argument (lest he prove himself to be an even bigger moron) cuz he used this very same argument in favor of USC towards the end of last CFB season.
So, using JGW logic, "t.u." has the best chance to win, cuz we're in complete control of our destiny.

If K-State does not get in this year...they will next year. Huggins is a beast and the best thing for that program. I think if they do get in, he should get Coach of the Year.

If the Cats can pull one out tonight, I think there is a pretty good chance UT falls all the way to the 4 seed.

are you mentally retarded? A&M is in the best position of any team in the Big 12. not only do we control our own destiny, we have the tiebreaker against kansas. is this what they teach at t.u.?

i guess you're counting on Acie captaining his team to sleep the night at the local trainstation, else you wouldn't be talking so cocky, AGGGGGGGS
