I thought this was a great show, but it tanked in the ratings. Hopefully its viewership will improve by word of mouth. I think the biggest problem is the name makes it sound like a UPN sitcom.

It was OK, good enough to bring me back for the second episode. I didn't really like the narrator though.

If I had to guess, I'd say the narrator was only for the first show.

I liked it. Too bad it'll last about 5 episodes.

It's a poor man's Brotherhood.

WAY too much soundtrack. It's nowhere close to HBO drama.

jmo.

No need to hold a network television pilot to HBO standards.

I am gonna start watching this show cus a friend of mine is going to start watching "Friday Night Lights" in return... I think it's a good switch, cus both these shows need ratings... Does anyone watch "FNL" at all? I think it's a damn good show, and the funny thing is, I haven't seen the movie or read the book, but the show had a marathon on BRAVO a few weeks back and I got hooked...

I love Friday Night Lights. So many great characters.

Studio 60 wore out for me. I got to where I was DVRing it but not watching it until 3 weeks later... just not that much interest in what was going on.

Is Studio 60 canceled?

It's on "hiatus" as I understand it.

DirkAB

Does that mean ratings are down and they are weighing their options? All these mid-season breaks take some getting used to. Didn't Studio 60 already have a "hiatus" when all the other shows did, during the holidays? They came back for a couple of more shows and then decided it was time for another break. That show may not make it.

Pretty much. With rare exceptions, it's a death sentence for any show.

anyone following this show? i have a coworker who keeps telling me how good this is, but i haven't had a chance to record or download it yet, is it worth it?

Actually, I quit during the third episode. After I read Guru's comment, I started noticing all of the stupid songs... I swear they play five full songs with no dialogue every episode. It was too much to sit though.

Plus I really don't need another TV show to record.
