What hell do you want? Saving babies from fires too?
'06-'07 Regular season Manu looks even greater than '05 Playoff Manu. He's having career highs in a number of statistics coming off the bench. If Manu continues to play like this and elevates even further in the playoffs then Spurs are a lock for a ring. Also, what is the record for most threes in a game, isn't it held by Kobe?

If you're watching the game, you're watching Ginobili settling into a rhythm that is almost a pure, pristine lazer-guided offense.
Sometimes when he can't play that way, he turns into a border bandit with steals, blocks and an assortment of game stoppers happening too quickly to see until the slomo replay.
Oddly, MFin is now playing a bit like that. He was hot midearly in game but is playing decent D together along with Jacq, those steals tranalating into points.
As poor as their game has been, this good regular rhythm that the Spurs have now seem like, well, superb play, in contrast.
But they have to keep up their consistency and not be so complacent the first 5 minutes of every first period.

Stay healthy if we get this Manu in the playoffs Spurs are going to go really FAR!! The less Tim has to dominate in the playoffs the better off they are going to be.

Starting and coming off the Bench isn't the dependent factor. It's whether or not he gets enough minutes and touches to get his game going. By coming off the bench he has more chances to get that balance.
He's had his SuperManu games starting too, hasn't he? I think Portland one with his 18 points in the 4th was one of them.

Manu has had some crazy ass scoring runs lately!
25 points in 10 minutes 45 seconds tonight and 24 points in 4:47 against the Hawks.

I wonder if this has more to do with Pop recognizing him, and going with the flow more. Manu mentioned again, that once Pop saw him get hot, he called more plays for Ginobili. There's been recent runs before where Manu showed signs of getting the hot hand and then into the Fourth Manu would be sitting down.
Now in here again. He started the fourth to total nine-more points , to set the Spurs on coast.

I am sure that POP recognize Manu, and also understand that reasoning of sending him to the bench; but at this pont Manu should keep coming from the bench.
I doubt Manu will average those numbers, but he could be around 16-18 ppg; the only time Manu is important on the court is ... playoffs and 4th quarters.

if he was only important in the 4 then why play him the first 3 quarters?
and risk him getting hurt?
