The 2 OT game and the energy of the 1st half drained them. All of their shots are off because the legs are tired so they're shooting with the arms. This one's over... they need to rest and go light for a couple of days while they get ready for the Big XII tourney

They played a hell of a lot better than I thought they would. I figured they would get toasted in Lawrence. Texas is playing some good basketball, should make the tourney fun.

Kansas hadnt played since Mon, they were rested at home against a Texas team that had played a double overtime win just a couple days ago. With that said I am nothing but impressed with the way Texas played, especially with Durant missing time and not being full strengh at the end of the game
two things we need to do to make that happen^^^
move our feet on defense, and get way more second chance points.

durant was fading and you could see the lack of energy from him before the injury. he really needs to be more assertive. i like all this "making my teammates are getting involved bullshit" but when the game is on the line (i.e. when kansas had stormed back during the second half), demand the fucking ball. there was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much a.j. abrams this afternoon.

I will say though, if Dex can get an awesome conditioning routine going and stay outta the Austin party scene for a few months he has the potential to come back strong enough to dominate under the glass for apprx 10-12 each half. He is a WIDE load and can become very strong. He is used to knocking high schoolers around and finds this game a wee bit diff.
What he needs the most is discipline.
