Cats go 21-10, 10-6

personally, i think we need to win a game next Friday (likely against Tech) to get in.

But if the committee leaves the Cats out, it will be a couple of firsts...

first time a 20 win overall, 10 win conference team is left out.

first time a top 4 big 12 is left out.

haha I figured I'd give you a post. I think you gotta win 2 games in the Big 12 tournament and hope that some of the other bubble teams fall. K-State impressed me with their aggressive play, but I think they missed out on some big opportunities for wins this season especially against Kansas. Hopefully the Big 12 will get 5, but the East Coast bias towards the Big East and ACC is gonna be a big hurdle.

2 games?!? No way. Win 2 and the Cats are a lock. Win 1 and they probable.

I say again, no BCS team has ever won 20 games overall (Cats have 21) and won 10 games in conference (Cats have 10) and been left out.

With the huge number of bubble teams this year, I think the Cats do need to beat the Tech/Colorado winner (probably Tech).

For all the talk of Tech being a lock, they are going to finish at least one, and possibly 2 games behind KSU in the standings.

I think if we can win one game in the Big 12 tourney we will be in good position. If we win 2 then we should would be a lock. Let me be the first to say...

Tech and Mizzou have no better reason to be in than the wildcats.

I don't think anybody is talking up Mizzou as a tournament team.

Tech does have the quality wins (for some reason we are supposed to ignore the crappy losses).

Good wins at USC and UT, but not many other quality wins.

Hopefully they get in.

K-State is kind of an up and down team.

But I think they've played well enough in conference play to get in. . .although I don't think the Big12 had a banner season.

Texas Tech's and Oklahoma State's textbook collapses the past month have killed the conference. Went from 6 in guaranteed to struggling for 4 almost as quick as a snap of the fingers.

IMO if they win their first B12 tourney game...they are in.
