That was the wackest shit Ive ever seen, not only did he not get close, but he missed the dunk so badly you have to wonder why he was in a dunk contest

i bet if he had a volleyball, GiG would've been able to fulfill his lifelong goal of filming a blowjob and dunk at the same time.

That would be fucking sick. I could do that dunk with a basketball...if that chick was a little shorter.

:lmao

That guy didn't even look like he would've cleared Sequ on that attempt.

If I ever come to San Antonio, I will dunk over Sequ. Book it.

On a ten foot hoop? I have never tried dunking on a 5 footer like Sequ. I am afraid that I might do something like that one whiteboy did in the video.

it was a joke.

if you just "jumpman" it, you should clear it.

I don't know why, but it gets on my fucking nerves when someone dunks or does something amazing and some douche(the guy in the black jersey after the dunk over the guy) goes out on the court acting stupid like he had something to do with it. Just shut the fuck up and cheer.

stupid gay ass kids...

and am I the only one that thinks he's actually like 2'7" instead of 5'7"???? Cus the hoop he's using is no more than 7 feet...weird as fuck.

ALVAREZ6
03-05-2007, 06:38 PM
That kid does have at least a 30 inch vert. 30 inches is not that impressive though. That hoop however is about 7'5''. I could dunk without jumping on that thing.
I could myself, I'm a foot shorter than you.

Adrian Wilson of the Arizona Cardinals jumps over a 66" bar from a three step start. Simply amazing.

I don't think I can believe that without seeing some kind of proof. You think somebody has cleared 5 feet 6 inches with their feet and dunk a ball at the same time? Who?

DirkAB

I don't believe it either. The highest I have seen someone dunk it is like 58 inches or so. Vince Carter's dunk over Weis must have been up there too.

That one in the Olympics over the 7 footer?

I don't have a clip, but I remember seeing it from that brief MTV show called City Slam or something like that where they went to a few cities and grabbed 4 random black guys from each one and had them in dunk contests, each stage with different events. There was a doubles one, a freestyle one where you have a certain time to complete dunks, and one event was jumping over a stick and dunking the ball, and they moved it up by 2-inch increments after each round.

I remember one guy who definitely cleared 64" and dunked, and either DID clear 66" or easily could have because he did the 64 with ease but didn't continue because the other guy couldn't go any longer.

And that's too much detail and time spent to be considered a lie, so just believe me.

Don't get me wrong that is amazing, and I stand corrected, but with that said I don't think that they could do what Adrian Wilson did. Three steps and 30-40 feet lead start makes a huge difference, not to mention height, I still think that Wilson's jump is more impressive. And on the flipside I don't think he could do what they did, but he out jump them, he's just not tall enough or long enough to dunk like they do.

Wilson's jump is basically his ability to fly his legs up, if you watch, his head doesn't travel the distance you would think. It's impressive, but when measuring verts, it's more of who can get their feet up higher, which doesn't necessarily measure the distance traveled vertically.

And with the dunking part, holding a ball with two hands makes it a lot harder. And it's not like they need the whole 30-40 foot lead start, much of it is jogging up. They could probably do it with much less space.

That is not at all how they measure a vert, has nothing to do with lifting knees and height of feet, at all. Vert should be based on reach.

And no they couldn't do it with less space, or they would have.
