Did anyone read the drudge report today. Many articles on
global warming and no one posted anything. Seems that
there isn't unanimous agreement on the cause.

Gee such a shame RNR isn't around the enjoy the moment.
Even the one of the first of the "scientist" to promote the
idea "man" was the cause has decided he was "wrong". Oh,
gasp, what is a person to do. Man cant change the climate,
how can that be? Could it be we have a sun and other
elements that "kinda" handle things in the ways nature
intended. Gee what a concept.

I was actually trying to post that article about the French scientist but the site kept timing out...maybe a lot of interest.

After all, if the Frenchies are throwing in the towell, the rest of the Eunuchpeons can't be far behind.

try it. You will like it, like Mikey.

RNR=Rough and Ready, from Aussie land, supposedly in
the San Antonio area visiting sometime soon. A great
believer that the argument has already been settled, man
is the cause of any increase in the temp of earth.

He also didn't like me too much because I disagreed with

Allegre's second thoughts (http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/news/story.html?id=2f4cc62e-5b0d-4b59-8705-fc28f14da388)

The Deniers -- The National Post's series on scientists who buck the conventional wisdom on climate science

LAWRENCE SOLOMON, Financial Post
Published: Friday, March 02, 2007

Claude Allegre, one of France's leading socialists and among her most celebrated scientists, was among the first to sound the alarm about the dangers of global warming.

::snip::

In the 1980s and early 1990s, when concern about global warming was in its infancy, little was known about the mechanics of how it could occur, or the consequences that could befall us. Since then, governments throughout the western world and bodies such as the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have commissioned billions of dollars worth of research by thousands of scientists. With a wealth of data now in, Dr. Allegre has recanted his views. To his surprise, the many climate models and studies failed dismally in establishing a man-made cause of catastrophic global warming. Meanwhile, increasing evidence indicates that most of the warming comes of natural phenomena. Dr. Allegre now sees global warming as over-hyped and an environmental concern of second rank.

Looks like another of the 1500 original global warmers has left the reservation...

So, Master Baiter, at what point do you jump ship? When the original 1500 "scientists" get below 750? When?

Never read much history have you GGA. The flat world
theory was the "consensus" thoughts of the time. But a
"few" said they were wrong and made fun of. But guess
what, they were right. Now how are you going to handle
it if I am proven right and you are wrong. Will you admit it?
Nah.........thought not.

Well considering the 'if' your right it will be proven way beyond our lifetimes but 'if' your wrong you and the doubters will go down in history as the scourge of the earth. the one's who promoted the theory that there was nothing to this.. future generations will mock you and your kind.. to bad I won't be here to enjoy it..

Chump, like most of you, you think all of us who disagree
want: dirty water, polluted air and filth all over the place.
You need to use "just a little bit of common sense". We
don't. Freon is a whole different matter than leaded gasoline.
Like apples and oranges. But back to the subject, no one
wants things "dirty", well except maybe sex, (joke). So
please dont confuse the two: global warming and pollution. The are not the same.

Well, mocking I am used, I get plenty of it here on this
forum, but no matter. I have a thick skin. And have been
around long enough to have heard how many theories about what is going to destroy the earth.

Common sense should tell a lot of people a lot of things.
First, Texas, look around there are fossels all over the
place from the ocean that used to cover a lot of the state.

Now before/or/after there was ice over much of the
United States, as we know it, and guess what. We had
global warming and melted it and we exist today.....now
isn't that wonderful, I think so. And then earth had a
"little" ice age and some of the earth froze up again and
guess what it thawed again and so on and so on and so.

My goodness. Mother Nature does her thing and thank
God she does. so Mock me.

Ray sit down..you may be right.. however we don't know how much man contributes to the warming of the planet. Yes I accept the fact that the earth naturally warms but does man accelerate the process? That's the question.

It never went away. Just was re-formulated and like
the rabbit, just kept going. Except at a much higher
price. Like what the politicans did with water in San
Antonio. Still have "enough" just have to conserve at
at high price. Think about it, but unlike Mikey, you
wont like it. I don't.

Politicians never solve anything. Just increase the cost

GGA, in my estimation, it isn't a unnecessary war. We have
been spoon fed all the crap that the MSM puts out, but once
again you have to really look for information, not sit back
and wait for it to come to you. But that is something for
another thread.

Democracy sticking is something you should also look at.
First, you know you don't live in a democracy. You live in
a Republic. Do you know the difference? Most Americans
don't. That is another thing the MSM has spoon fed
Americans. And believe me we didn't obtain our
"Democracy" over night. Read the history. It cost many
lives and fortunes and took many years. Careful what
you say, it can come back to haunt.

thought it was still available. I remember seeing something about

them. But I am not aware of any problems with Halon.

The IPCC (http://www.ipcc.ch/) claims 2500 scientists, but why listen to all of them when there is someone who will tell you what you want to hear.
