29 more days and the wife and I are going to put a hellacious dent in the "free" booze. (http://www.royalhideaway.com/html/resort.html)

WOW! Free Alcohol!!!
Looks like an amazing vacation.
I don't know if you've considered it, but while you're there I highly recommend taking the opportunity to visit Chichen Itza. It's a short flight from the airport, and for me at least, was an unbelievable experience. Not every day you get to see the ruins of a past civilization.
Either way, I'm sure you're gonna have a great time.

My brother and his wife did their honeymoon there. Not sure if it's the same resort but they had a similar booze deal. Came in handy when my brother dislocated his toe during a game of volleyball. Luckily they were playing with an ER doc who put it right back into place but he spent the rest of the trip self medicating with a whole lot of rum.

Did that years ago when I was in high school.
Cool thing was a retired archaeology professor and his wife took my family through Chichen Itza/Uxmal and a few other places off the beaten track.
I was also at Chichen Itza during the spring equinox so I was able to see the snake on the pyramid.

That's awesome! I've always regretted that I wasn't there for the Equinox
