FROM NBA.com SURVEY OF ALL NBA GMs (conducted before the start of the season):

"...nearly all of the GM's responded to our survey.* Here's what the guys who call the shots think will transpire this season."

Which team will win NBA Finals 2007?

San Antonio Spurs
42.9%

Dallas Mavericks
28.6%

Miami Heat
14.3%

Which team will win the Southwest Division?

Dallas Mavericks
57.1%

San Antonio Spurs
42.9%

NOTE: They didn't pick the Spurs to win the division, but they did pick them to win the championship. So far, so good I guess. =)

Also, I mentioned this in another thread... but I watched the game last night (3/5) on NBA League Pass, which carried the Clipper's TV feed. The Clipper's color analyst repeatedly expressed that despite Dallas' superior regular season record, he thinks the Spurs are the best team in basketball (though only recently playing like it), and that they will win the NBA Championship this year.

He also stated that he believes this Spurs team is now better than last year's team.

Interesting, since it comes from an objective source.

and like Ive said before :lol

The clipper announcer picks them every year to win.

So if they win every other year, he looks semi smart.

Well... the Spurs haven't been a bad pick (to win the championship) in about 5 years. He could hardly be blamed for picking San Antonio in any or all of the previous 4 seasons (or this one).

TPark, just out of curiosity... do you live in LA or something? You talk like you've been listening to this guy for years. It was the first time I can remember hearing him myself.

Because everyone knows that what the GMs say is the FINAL LAW and nothing will happen differently.

You're talking about clippers annpuncer Mike Smith. Yeah, he's always been a big Spurs admirer.

We should ask Forbes magazine who their picks for the Finals are.
