Is Section 43 Row 11 good seats?
My step-dad is a Varsity Basketball Coach and he gets tickets to the High School State Tournament in Austin, TX every year. This year I get to go with him and watch the games on Friday & Saturday.
I was just wondering if those are good seats or not. I have never been to the Frank Erwin Center before.

Ahhh, it is behind the goal though, oh well. I guess it is a lot better than upper.

Cool, man I hope it'll be a good tourney this year. I've gone every year since 1990 except last year when I was working at Ft Bragg in North Carolina in March. The upside to that was I got to see the final UNC - Duke game of the season at Cameron as well as the first round of the NCAA Tourney at Greensboro.
I'll be at the tournament on thursday night, friday and saturday too. I think the tickets my dad got this year are on the sideline, but I know they are on row 2. The entire lower level is reserved for basketball coaches in the state, so keep hold of your ticket because you'll need it to get down there every time.

Friday I moved around in the lower section then all of Saturday I sat in row 6 seat 4. You could see me on FSN easily because I was in line with the rim. Plus the next 3 rows down from me no one was sitting in the seat 4s.
I was wearing a Texas State baseball cap and blue shirt, you probably saw me a couple of times. My mom called me and said she could see me good :lol

"she could see me good"
Are you sure you are in college? That is grammar a second grader would use.

So did you enjoy the tournament? Duncanville's defense was flat out nasty - they checked Mike Singletary all night on Saturday. I thought the Kountze game and the 3A game with Wylie and Sour Lake were pretty competitive and interesting. Overall, not the level of competition I'm used to - no All Americans - no TJ Ford and Daniel Giboson, or no Chris Bosh type players this year. I still think one of the best games I've seen was San Antonio Lanier beating a Chris Bosh Dallas Lincoln team in 2001. Lanier was all hispanic and had no one taller than 6-5, but they had two of the best ballhandlers I've seen and played as smart and with as much heart as anyone I've ever watched. This year didn't have that kind of drama that makes for great games.

And I was sitting right behind the TV announcers on row 2 at center court. Right behind these two fine as hell chicks who kept distracting me all weekend :lol
