If your Team were to acquire a top notch free agent next year who would you prefer? Rashard Lewis or Kevin Garnett?

From a pure talent perspective I'd choose Garnett, but I think Lewis might fit in to our current team better, and he's a little younger, of course Garnett isn't past his prime quite yet...

Lewis is a winner with more range on his jumpshot and a much better low post game.

Garnett is a loser, but he defends and rebounds much better.

Give me the winner.

How is Lewis a winner? Are you a winner if you get the big contract, and stop rebounding and playing defense? Yeah, KG can't take a team anywhere by himself, but he'd be a HELL of a lot better "Pippin" than Lazy Lewis.

He's a winner in the sense that he doesn't completely shrivel up when a game needs to be won.

When's the last time he's been in a situation where the game needed to be won? A game that actually matters, i mean.

This is ridiculous. Might as well be a "Danny Ainge or Larry Bird" thread.

I can't believe this is even a discussion.

You can't build a team around either, but as a second or third option, KG is light years ahead of Lewis in overall game. He can shoot, score, rebound supremely, block shots and dish assists. Lewis can shoot and score.

It doesn't really fit the "game that matters" criterion but didn't he bury a dagger 3 last night to win the game?

Give me KG any day of the week.

Is this really a SERIOUS poll question? Come on, you can't be serious.

I don't think it's a bad question.

Garnett is the superior player, no question. However, Lewis is also long and athletic, he's younger than Garnett, and would come with a smaller price tag. Of course, you take Garnett if the money's the same, but I don't see that happening.

Lewis is an overrated player who was a joke to make the all star game 2 years ago.

I'd take Donyell Marshall over both of 'em.

Can't build around KG? You guys act like SA becomes memphis with KG instead of Duncan.

You can't build around KG's current CONTRACT. THat's an accurate statement.

Both teams would be improved with KG/Duncan swap. Not the contracts.

wrong. Wolves would improve, but Spurs would suck

Not with Parker and ginoboli.

Both lickity split guards who excel at driving? KG would have a field day throwing that ball around. plus, lower minutes do make him more effective. And he's a shawn marion type guy, someone who doesn't need the ball to score, excellent alongside other scorers.

Did i mention you wouldn't consistanly have a pf thats injured?

Wolves would improve for the fact that duncan is more of a low post scorer and it would spread the defense more.
