Did for me. If it hasn't for you yet, a trick to make it recognize the right time is to click here (http://spurstalk.com/forums/usercp.php?).

I think there is an exemption in Indiana also.

It's more of a fall forward for me, very little spring left in my feet. And the hour loss is a bitch.

Indiana observes DST now...just started doing it.

How is it that some places are exempt from Daylight Savings Time?

States have the ability to override stupid "laws" on occasion, and this is one of them.

Interesting to note that while Canada changed their DST to be in line with the US' (stupid) new rules, Mexico did not.

Also interesting to note that the bulk of your electronix which has the OLD rules built-in will spring forward again in a few weeks, when the "normal" DST would have gone into effect.

Congresscritters - always screwing around with the stuff that doesn't need changing so they can ignore fixing what does. :pctoss

Maybe if I'd log out once in a while. LJ's trick worked fine. I see the correct times on the messages now.

I was very surprised to see one of my clocks do it automatically.

It's a little basic Casio desk clock that I got to listen to satellite radio in my house. When I got home last night (right before actual 2 a.m., I looked at the clock, it read 1:59 a.m., and when I looked a bit later, it indeed read 3:02 a.m.).

Nice.

Don't let Mother Nature fool you...

If it weren't for the cable boxes doing it automatically, I'd probably forget to change all my other clocks.

hmm...the trick didn't work...

Go to your Control Panel, Edit Options, and make sure you have the box checked to automatically detect DST.

If that doesn't work, clear your cache.

ALVAREZ6
03-11-2007, 02:23 PM
None of that works.

I tried putting my time zone to -5 and it made my time go from 2:23 to 4:23.

I put it back to -4 and it came back to 2:23.

I have the DST shit checked too. It's 3:23 on the East Coast though....

I don't really know what to tell you guys. Mine was automatically updated this morning.

If the box is properly checked in your CP and you have logged off, cleared you cache, etc. I'm not sure what else to tell you.

Slomo
03-11-2007, 03:47 PM
I checked the server's system clock and it updated correctly, so it can only be a local cache/settings issue.
