After a 100-85 loss to Miami on February 11, the Spurs fell to 33-18 and looked to finish the season with 50 wins at best. It's 13 games and over a month later, and the Spurs have not lost a game since. They are heading to a 60-win season, despite league-wide and media-wide doubt and criticism all year long, along with phrases such as "old and unathletic", "over the hill", and etc. etc.
What a laugh. I honestly all along never doubted the Spurs. The Spurs have had rough stretches every year but always seem to get it going after the All-Star break. Everyone had been saying, it's time to play ball, it's after the All-Star break. 11-0 since All-Star break.
The Spurs opened the season with a 97-91 win against a team they were supposed to beat, and went from there, beating everyone else they're supposed to beat. By the beginning of 2007, they were 23-8, but only went .500 over the next 20 games. Enter 100 ways to say "old and unathletic" from the media, and people talking about trading for Maggette. They are now 13-0 since, back on track and don't plan to stop anytime soon.
Tim Duncan = MVP
