View Full Version : Spurs will make it 18 straight

The Spurs winning streak WILL reach 18 games, or they may lose to Milwaukee based on their problems with the Bucks earlier this year, and then beat Boston.

Bucks, Celtics, Pacers, Pistons, Sonics.

Unless Pistons beat us (not likely), we're looking at atleast 17-1 over 18 games.

Five very winnable games, but it's mental collapses that make the Spurs lose.

knowing the spurs they will probably blow the streak to the celtics or pacers.

they'll have an inexcusable loss somewhere down the line with one of those teams

although getting 20+ win streak would be nice!

If the Spurs make it passed the Bucks they will make it to Det. And prob lose that game.

I see our streak ending at 20. Though if we win that game... we could win for a long time.

This is way off topic, but I saw someone that quoted you saying "kobe > udrih" :lol Just funny to read. It is true though. But there's no comparison.

It'll be the longest in Spurs history if it gets to 18. Somehow I've got trepidation for tonite's game. If we can get by them though....

It's only natural for a team to have an off night and get dumped by a team that doesn't deserve it. Detroit could be a hard test. I'd say within the next 3 games a loss will come.

The Bucks have a new head coach and might be in a mood to make a point.. could be a dangerous foe is the Spurs don't play with intensity.

That shit needs to be bumped.

Every long win streak has a couple of lucky breaks here and there. Portland comes to mind. If the Spurs keep this up for a while there will probably be more games they win after being outplayed.

Tonight is our chance to blow it. But if you consider the Clippers game an offnight, then what are the chances we will have two in a row?

Pacers should be a win, but their losing streak has to end somewhere too.

I really would not look past the Bucks.
If the Spurs play the same level of "defense" that they did against the LAC, they'll not only lose, they'll get blown out.

"Deeeeetroit Basketball is where it ends.."

nah, not in San Antonio. Pistons will be playing for the season split, but I'm sure the Spurs will be ready.

The Spurs streak will end with a lottery team playing fast, loose, way over its head, like Warriors vs Mavs, with the Spurs playing down to where they think the lottery team really is.

Jinxers.

All last year I said there is no such thing as a jinx, but after the Manu foul and the bad breaks (injuries to Manu and TP) of last year's PO - I don't chance it. I'm officially knocking on wood for all these fools in here proclaiming a historic winning streak...

Where can we find a witch doctor? :lol

We have a 30% chance of losing any of those games and a 50% chance of losing to Detroit.

Win streaks always end when you think a win over another team is a lock.

The Spurs winning streak WILL reach 18 games, for the longest NBA winning streak this season.

Bucks, Celtics, Pacers, Pistons, Sonics.

Unless Pistons beat us (not likely), we're looking at 18 straight for the win streak.

Five very winnable games, but it's mental collapses that make the Spurs lose.

Here's the thing... the way we're playing, we're not likely to lose to Detroit. The Spurs respect Detroit and will be up for that game.

I think the streak will eventually end as it did with Dallas... with a mental let-down against a team they should clearly beat.

Duncan has been saying good things, I think we can extend the streak farther than that my friend

What really makes me laugh is the fact that i started the exact same kind of a thread on LoneMavsFan saying that the Mavs would win 20 in a row and then probably lose in Detroit.

I of course started the thread after the Laker game and before the Golden St. game. Man did I EFF that up!

And really neither the Spurs or Mavs should have lost to the Bucks or "The City" but sh#t happens. That's why it's so hard to win 15 or 20 in a row. Every sorry little team gets up to play you when you are one of the best teams in the league and eventually that sorry little team shoots 57% or some nonsense like that.

I am also sorry that the Spurs lost because i had 50 bucks on the game. Oh well at least i won my Miami bet to off set it.

See you boyz on April 15, in what should be a meaningless game but fun nonetheless.

I'm personally glad the Spurs lost last night. It takes alot of pressure off them to try to get to 17 wins in a row to match the mavericks. I think that is beside the point and a waste of energy. Let the pressure remain on dallas and Phoenix.

I never understood the point of this thread. WHY predicting 5 WINS AHEAD? in the first place. well, I'm glad we lost. From these stupid jinx threads. Win streaks should not be the GOAL of this team.
