not now
only due to age
and I think nash after 2 years is going to decline fast
(kind of like gp)

and duncan has 5 more good years left

If I was in charge? I know I would, Parker has his monents but Nash is a proven allstar and only a Fool would not make that trade.

Yes...in a heartbeat.
Nash on SA would guarantee a Spurs championship for 3 yrs, then Beno or some other youngster could take over.

I am not a fool

you have to think long term
nash would not get 18 assist in pop's system

tp +duncan+ manu = great chance at titles for 7 years

there is NO guarantees with titles

see lakers last year with all their hall of famers

nash has played to many minutes the last few years it is going to catch up with him

Two problems with Nash:

1. His defense sucks beyond belief. I don't know if even Pop could fix it.

2. His durability is questionable.

Nash is a better distributor and shooter than Parker will ever be (though Parker may yet prove to be a better scorer).

2-3 years ago I would have said yes. In 2004, I'm not sure.

has tp ever had 10 turnovers in a game?

Jim you have a point, Hey Ducks that was a good answer but are you sure Age is a factor? After all wouldn't you want Kevin Garnet over a young rookie? Is it safe to always look after the future? rather than get a ring now?

I guess you make a good point but why take a chance that your player does not leave, or get hurt, I guess being a Maverick fan I am impatient for a ring,

Can you blame me?

how many assist jim do you think steve would average in sa?

thanks mouse

I would rather have a chance at more rings then just one year and blow it

kind of like the wolves did last year

I don't know, but I bet most of the great point guards in history have.

That was a great answer you must know your sports. I guess TP is a young Nash? is that your point? You guys really think Nash is over the hill?

Bro I wonder if anyone knows what Cuban really thinks, His ideas and choices scare me at times, after all look who he has a coach.

which brings me to my next question, Rather than make a topic and turn this into Mavs talk? Can you guys help me with this?

Why would Cuban keep Nelly? am I missing something here? How long would you wait till you axed his ass?

Hey LJ you kinda know sports I have a question.... Is Tony Parker over rated?

timvp

No. People are already writing him off for the season.

He'll turn it around.

If I was Cuban Nellie would already be gone, he's a walking gimmick.

For almost any other team I would say pull the trigger on the deal, but at the end of the day Steve does not defend well and would rather run with the ball rather than set up a half court offense. I think any team but the Spurs would be a fool to not make a Parker for Nash trade, but at the end of the day Parker is the right man for the job in SA.

I wouldn't make any trades period with this team... at least, its core players. Our core is pretty young, but has been together a lifetime by NBA standards. Most of this team has played a ton of huge playoff games together, and 5 of the top 9 in the rotation have won a championship together. I just can't see splitting that up after the way they've played together the last 3 years or so.

No I would not trade T-Park for Nash...

Nash is a squirrelly player...He also has greasy hair & if you think about it, it might get on the ball & throw off Duncan’s bank shot...

RobinsontoDuncan

hell yeah, he had 18 assits the other night, parker will never be that kind of a passer.
