I got one question, it's stupid to ask, but I'll ask anyway:

Why 80 games instead of 82?

Why 80 games instead of 82?

Last year we played 82 and we were supposed to play 82 again this year, but for some reason the software didn't recognize the two extra games added to the schedule. By the time I noticed, it was too late to change the schedule.

Just Grrrrrrrreat! I have 5 of my main guys injured. It's bad enough that I'm forced into playing freakin' Beno Udrih!!!!!!!!! I thought the playoffs started later....

I knew something like this would happen. Ruined a good season.

Congrats Manny! On knocking off this 3 seed.

I don't know how many people realize this but 78-2 = probably the best fantasy basketball team ever legitimately assembled.

We have two leagues right now. Beginning of next season, we will open up another new league so that more people can enter.

In this thread, it explains the rules of the leagues:
http://spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47673

It's basically an online draft, you can keep a certain number of your players year after year. Buy-in is $50. There's 20 teams in each league.

If you want to play next year, they'll be a big notice about it here this summer.

Thanks for the info Kori. I like this kind of game but I think I won't be able to play because I don't have much time now.
I used to play something like this, but the website of NBA fantasy game that I used to play got closed. :pctoss

In my own head-to-head Yahoo league, I just surged into the #2 spot (from #4)...woo hoo. My pick up of Al Jefferson off waivers when he was recovering from his appendectomy has been awesome. And I recently added Linas Kleiza, and dumped Devin Brown, who had been doing great but now he's tanking it.

My plan of building around the most durable players I could find (Chauncey Billups, Paul Pierce, Rasheed Wallace) seems to have paid off.

The playoff format can be a curse or a blessing.

It's all a question of who's healthy.... this format can crumble an entire season's work. Or it can enable anyone on a sudden hot-streak to win the whole thing.

That is what I am hoping for.

Exactly why I decided to bank on people who were durable and rarely miss games. I deliberately excluded Tracy McGrady from my draft because I knew he'd miss at least a third of the games this season.

For the none of you that care, the (2) Bexar Blaze came back from a late-week deficit to inch past the (7) Beaumont Roughnecks 10-7 in the opening round of the Southwest Coalition playoffs. Manu and Tim's steals were the clinchers for last night's victory. The Roughnecks were defeated in similar fashion last season in what would have been the league's first 8-seed upset. The upset needed only one season.

The (1) San Antonio Hallstars were trounced by division-rival and playoff sneak-in (8) New Braunfels Nails.

All three division winners (Port Neches Ritas, Seguin Sweat Hearts and Hallstars) met their demise in the opening round, leaving the wild-card winning Blaze alone out of the top 4 seeds.

Horry For 3!

Dude I was shocked when I saw that I lost. I don't know what the fuck happened for that big of a swing to occur in one day where there weren't even that many games being played. It was a pretty big shock when I saw that I lost.

Grats Matthews.

A lot of my points came from Ike Diogu having that big game against the Spurs yesterday. I also got a lot of points from Steve Blake and Kevin Garnett having good games.

I don't know how you lost 9 points though. I think that Baron Davis and Ben Wallace both had bad games. Crazy points swing though.
