If you want to have a debate about the histories of the Spurs and Mavs franchises then yes, that would make sense but having any titles in the past means nothing for what is happening right now. I agree and that has been, IMO, the Spurs biggest problem this year. Too many times they have squandered leads that cost them games or started off slow and dug themselves a big hole and it takes all they have just to break even and can't finish the job and that costs them games as well.

I kinda have blind faith as far as that is concerned because Pop and the players know better than anyone else how to keep themselves fresh through the 82 game grind.

In the big picture of things, the last two losses to Milwaukee and Boston helps the NBA, I think. I'm not saying the Spurs threw the games. But both media markets needed a shot in the arm. And it is interesting that the two head coaches were ex-Spurs and have ties to San Antonio. If the Spurs were going to lose a couple in a row, losing these last two just felt right. Plus Boston was eventually going to break that streak and it was St. Pattys day and all.

Let's see how the guys end the season. I expect them to play with renewed vigor.
