“Never Submit” is an inspirational tale similar to “Rocky,” but the lead character is an intelligent young man (as are most fighters competing in this sport) rather than a beaten-down punch-drunk fighter. An amazing cast of characters will round out this film; each from different walks of life; each with his own set of circumstances and motivating factors driving him to be the best. “Never Submit” is a metaphor describing the way these athletes live their lives.

I hope it doesn't end up being too cheesy. I'll probably watch it anyways.

You guys have probably seen these but if you haven't, see them!! Smashing Machine is the better of the two but but they both are amazing mma documentaries.

Did anybody ever see Ken Shamrock in "Scarecrow Part V: Scarecrow Gone Wild"? I sure as hell didn't.

Smashing Machine was extremely well done. Seeing Kerr spiraling downward like that was heavy. That bitch he was with in the documentary was psycho. Of course, he wasn't all there either.

Choke was pretty good, but was done when MMA was in it's stages of infancy.

Yeah, I like Smashing Machine because it humanizes fighters. Kerr is so ridiculously candid with his life and emotions. It's hard not to really feel for him with all of his struggles.

Choke is interesting too just to get view of the Gracie family dynamic. Like you mentioned, it's also kinda cool to seem them figuring everything out with the sport being so young. Like the scene where the big Texan first tries on the fingerless gloves. It's just kinda cool to see.

I think Never Submit will be pretty good. There will be a ton of big name fighters in it. I've also heard a radio interview with the producer and he knows what's up...I don't see him screwing it up, or over-Hollywood'ing the movie...

Smashing Machine is a great doc...
