Kobe's gaining ground. If he keeps this up than he I will consider him the best player in the league. It's just a hot streak right now though.

I just got on with Farrell again and asked if he thought that raping a white chick made Kobe a better basketball player. He agreed.

He is and has been the best player in the league for a long time now.

I would say it's a little more than a "hot streak".

I guess that a ten year career of dazzling play, championships and constantly breaking records isn't quite good enough. Just a few more of these games and this Kobe guy just may be a legit NBA player.... :fro

Its one thing to win championships with Shaq.... its a totally different thing to put up big numbers and still have your team just barely above mediocre.
Kobe Jock riders need to learn 60-80 point games by ONE PLAYER do NOT win a title except for MAYBE MVP. If thats what your goal is.... then all props to you.
Kobe is a phenomenal player, but until he can learn to share the ball with his teammates, and thats if THEY can start producing, all the lakers are is a perennial Kobe highlight real for the regular season and the first round.

Wow, chill out. If there's one thing that Laker fans know about, it's what a championship team looks like.
I don't think that you will find any Laker fans expecting to win a ring this season, but it's not because of Kobe's inability to lead a team to a ring. It's because he does not have the talent around him to do so.
You're at least correct in saying that one player can't win a ring by himself, but Kobe can take a team closer than anyone else in the league.

Well Kobe has tried doing that. He's been a team player all season long. His scoring was down and his assists were up I believe. But they still was not producing. So it's time to take matters in your own hands.

Thats the point......he would never come close to 50pt games if he had talent around him......... :rolleyes
Any good player can produce 40-50pt games every night if his teammates suck ass.
Its still impressive though........... :toast

Wow you act like Kobe didnt do squat in those 3 rings. If anything he deserved MVP Finals for one of those...i think it was the indiana one.
Its like telling the Bowen, Parker and them that there is asterisk that comes along with your rings cuz you won with Duncan. You should know better, a ring is a ring and when it comes to the long road of the playoffs, everyone in the team plays a part in it.

So do Manu and Devin Harris, without the points

He'd also could have got more assists if his team could hit their layups and open jumpers. I can't see anyone average 60 with 10+ dimes....it would have to be a perfect game.

:wtf not sure what your point is. the same thing could definately not be said of Miller. Miller should not even be brought into the conversation. Terrible example.
IMO, Kobe has to score 50+ points to win because his entire team is injured.
If the Lakers had Odom, Walton, Vlad, Brown, or just a couple of those players healthy, it would be enough for the Lakers to contend for a title. :rolleyes

Sounds like excuses to me............. Or @ least that is what I have always heard from laker fans when someone brings up the injured excuse...........
WHy I bring up brad miller........???? Point being that anyone... Even a tobacco chewing 7ft stick could win an NBA title w/ the right talent.................. DUH!!!!!!!
Maybe phil can talk Scotty into signing up.......... That should @ least sell a few more jerseys................lol

These logic lacking posts are ridiculous and not worthy of any further response. It seems that you have never even seen a basketball game, much less played or followed the sport.

Prob not a good idea to say a post is not worthy of responding to while in the act of responding to it.....:rolleyes
What happen to the fans of the show that claimed "no excuse".... I guess they are all gone now????
Once it was only about the bling, bling bling and now it is only about kobe....... (How far have they fallen...???)
When they lost all those games in a row I don't recall him putting up those kinda numbers then???? I think they could have used them then as well???
