BTW, how many chances at the defensive rebound did A&M have in that 2nd to last posession?

Leslie O'Neal went #8 to San Diego in '86
Barry Sanders went #3 to Detriot in '89
Kevin Williams went #9 to Minnesota in '03

I could take a shit right now that would have more talent than Bryant Reeves... naturally, it will go the same place his career did: straight down the toilet.

#1 - I brought Barry Sanders up as a joke, since he's the only decent to come out of your "wonderful" school.
#2 - I'm not talking NFL, because then you would see more A&M players are in the league than your precious Cowpokes are
#3 - A&M fans do not claim to have a "storied basketball tradition," watch games in a crappy old hell hole with a wrestling coach's name stamped on it, and any delusion at all that we have produced a lot of NBA players. But has our team been superior to yours for 2 years now? Yes. If Billy Gillespie stays do I see him creating quite a strong program in College Station:? No doubt about it.

The Student Guide to America's 100 Best College Buys says the nation's best college value is right here in Oklahoma. Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating and Oklahoma State University President James Halligan announced the selection of OSU as America's Best College Buy at a Wednesday news conference in Oklahoma City.
OSU is the first university in America to achieve the first-place distinction, according to Lewis T. Lindsey, Jr., senior editor of the Student Guide Series. The selection was based on excellence in academic programs, low student-faculty ratios, a highly qualified faculty, high student ACT scores and low cost.
Keating said the honor underscores Oklahoma's commitment to holding down the costs of higher education while investing in quality in the classroom.
Halligan said the selection of OSU students as Rhodes Scholars, Truman Scholars and Fulbright Scholars confirms OSU's Best Buy designation.
"When OSU students prevail in national competition against students elsewhere who are paying ten-times the tuition, I believe we redefine both value and excellence in higher education," said Halligan.
Lindsey said OSU was selected after an annual national survey by Institutional Research and Evaluation, Inc.
OSU was among the 100 Best Buys last year and was selected for the number-one spot this year for several reasons, Lindsey said.
* The high school grade point average for OSU's entering freshmen class in the fall was at least 10 percent above the national average. (OSU freshmen had an average high school GPA of 3.46 compared to 3.07 nationally.)
* OSU's entering freshman class for the fall had an ACT score at least two composite levels above the national average. (OSU's ACT average was 24 compared to 21 nationally.)
* More than 92 percent of the OSU faculty who teach undergraduate classes have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree.
* OSU has a 15-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio. To qualify for the top 100 Best Buys, institutions must have a ratio no higher than 20/1.
* Yearly cost of attendance for out-of-state residents was at least 10 percent below the national average. OSU charges out-of-state students $5,768 a year for tuition. In-state students pay $1,748.
Lindsey said the annual report encourages students to shop around for the college or university which offers the highest level of excellence at the lowest possible cost. No college or university paid to be presented in the book.
Several other prestigious institutions were included in this year's top 100 Best Buys. They included Texas A&M University, the University of Tennessee, Clemson University, the University of Kansas and the University of Florida.

My point was that neither of ya'll can keep up a true and valued conversation of the point in question even when 2 seperate non partisan parties both smack you down. Please try to spin this thread another way. How many baseball players in the MLB does atm have? How many olympians has atm had? How many NFL Hall of Famers does atm have?
I think you'll find OSU leads in all those categories, so maybe that's not the way for you to go.
Let's take this back to the start:
CaptMike - Aggies choked so I got great seats to watch Tennessee choke!
CaptMike - Acie Law sucks
RM - Acie Law is a saint, so STFU and nice job re-appearing to rip on my team after you were oddly absent when Marist torched your ass
CaptMike - I wish I had a life.
RM - No help here
CaptMike - Let's bring up more stuff about olympic wrestlers from my school because I know it has nothing to do with the 2007 NBA draft.
Sean Sutton is suspected of drunk driving OSU's season into the ground.
Again, I'm no homer nor am I a stat geek, but do you really believe that?
OSU started the season by dumping two (or was it three) scholarship players and didn't have enough players on the roster to have a full 5 on 5 practice for most of the season. They also had a short bench, that down the stretch, had the starters playing too many minutes.
I don't think young Sutton "drove the season into the ground" at all, rather I'm suprised he had the team as competitive as it was.
And as whatshisname from the Fantastic Four would say, "Flame On!".

I was not the 1st one to start bringing up something not in this thread (Mr. NFL). OOOOH! But you had an excuse.
I bet your dad did too.
Nice post 1369.

But then again, I dated a gal who went on to graduate from there and lost her med license due to a coke problem.

Boggan - decided between an offer from atm and OSU.

Dubovistsky - decided between an offer between atm and OSU.

No, CaptMike you took the cake in November when you started bringnig up RPI and bitching about Winthrop, Auburn, and Pacific.
You still refuse to admit you're wrong about those teams.
Therefore, I don't think you, your team, or your coaching staff deserves any respect from me.

How many of those were on Melvin Watkins's watch? Remind me who is coaching the team now? Remind me how many players have been thrown off the team at A&M?

All under BG. And again you waffle. If OSU only recruits bad characters and atm recruits those same players... then what does it say about atm recruiting?
RonMexico
03-23-2007, 11:22 AM
In fact, you still refuse to admit you were wrong about anything
"Just because A&M beat Auburn by 20 points and OSU only beat them by 2, does that mean A&M is 18 points better than OSU?"
No, CaptMike, it just means they 20 points better... in your vaunted GIA.

Well, no it wasn't you fucking retard because BG has only been there 3 years and Boggan is a senior.
Acie Law was recruited by Melvin Watkins. In fact, he was coached by Watkins during the 0-16 season.

03-23-2007, 11:24 AM
Its not wrong or right. You are so engrossed in trying to be right on something that you are talking about things that have zero bearing on ANYTHING. You are so lost in yourself that you don't notice you ave neither a point, nor a beginning.
Sad, sad, sad. Try sticking to ONE topic arguement and being good at that before you branch out, because you certainly can't handle more than one front at a time.

Show me examples of this intangible "class" you try to push upon all of us.
I've never seen any inidcation of your class. When you classily ripped on Acie Law and sarcastically called him a Top 10 pick?
When you talked about how "classy" it was to get closer seats after A&M lost?
When you called Cartier Martin a punk and said that he deserved the headbutt from Boggan?
You have absolutely no class, so you are not one to speak at all. In fact, I have to stoop down to your level just to try and speak your language.
By "level," I mean the "best value in Oklahoma education"-type language and sentence structure. You have incredible difficulty comprehending facts, statistics, accurate statements, and sarcasm. I guess if "classy" is code for "dumb," then I don't want to join your exclusive club.

Oh, so he went from the "beat value for kids who can't pass the SAT" to "best value in college athletics for tweeners who can't make it to the NBA"
Congrats for Mario, I hope he enjoys the NBDL trails and subsequent car dealership job he might be lucky to get with Rhett Bomar (although it will be nice to see Cowpokes and Sooners coming together in times of need).

Again - I will point to the fact that A&M probably has recruited talent, but there has to be a point before when they decide not to go to A&M and they get kicked off the team at OSU where they realize one coach actually runs a tight ship, while the other lets them persue more "extra-curriculars."

Is Ron Mexico gay? Just curious because he seems like it from his posts. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Acie Law is a 1st roung pick, but not a top 10 - unless Oden, Durant, and several other underclassmen decide to stay. Not likely.

No one but CaptMike said he would be a top 10 pick... we've all predicted 1st round.
And it was just jewelry that I put in that water bottle... I guess if that makes you gay, then so be it.
