Spurs’ Horry Leaves with Stomach Injury
Posted Mar 25 2007 10:23PM

SEATTLE, March 25 (AP) -- San Antonio Spurs forward Robert Horry left the game Sunday night against the SuperSonics with a stomach injury, and the team said he would not return.

Horry took a hard charge from Seattle's Chris Wilcox late in the first quarter. Wilcox fell on top of Horry as the pair crashed to the floor. Horry stayed in the game for a few more minutes, but checked out with 1:20 left in the quarter and slowly made his way back to the Spurs locker room.

Horry scored two points in his four minutes. He is averaging a career-low 3.8 points and 17 minutes this season.

By coincidence, the Sonics fans left the game with the same complaint.

i got home and turned on the tv to a somewhat confusing scene. maybe yall will help me.
For what reason was Seattle fans giving a standing ovation when Fortson entered the game late with them down 30? the whole crowd was clapping and i just turned on my tv and then notice them down 30? Y the standing O, im still puzzled by this. wish i got home seconds earlier.
Since i didnt get to see what happend im thinking they were lookin for a hitman type thing on 1 of our players. help me por favor if su puedes

Fortson hadn't played in a game since Jan 5th. And no, he hasn't been injured.

I hope he's okay! When it happened, I wondered if he was injured...he was hit pretty hard.

So far, the only two responses showing concern for Rob.

Rob took a charge from Wilcox. It looked like he might have gotten a knee to the midsection.

Pulled stomach muscle according to ESPN.

More than likely Ely dresses up for the next 3 or 4 games...

The total lack of Johnny Ludden articles sucking on Ely's wang made me think we would never see him again. I still think we won't. I think all of Horry's minutes will go to Bonner, as they should have already. No offense, Big Shot.

Johnny Ludden doesn't write an article on him, therefore, he won't play?

I can see the similarities... :wtf

How has Horry been playing lately? I haven't seen many recent Spurs games. I'm guessing he really hasn't been playing a lot of minutes but just curious how he's been doing in those minutes.

I think if Pop was high on Ely we would have seen some positive press for him. Ely played briefly when he first got here and now is hardly even suiting up. So no, I don't think Horry's minutes are going to go to Ely.

Yes, I remember. I also remember what David Robinson did for the Spurs, but that doesn't mean I expect him to save the day either. Horry has been bad even by his own low regular season standards. It would be great if came through in the playoffs but as he gets older its less and less likely. The smart thing to do is let Bonner play now in case Horry really is done.
