The NFL's compensatory picks for the 2008 draft have been released. The picks are determined based on free-agent departures versus free-agent signings in 2006.

The Chargers, 49ers, Colts, and Raiders each will receive an extra third-round pick. Six teams, including the Colts and 49ers again, get a fourth rounder.

Chargers for Brees, Nines for Peterson, Colts for Edge... Raiders get a 3 round comp pick for?????? Who on the Raiders was worth a damn that warrants a 3 rounder?

I think they'd be wise to package quite a few of them to make a run at Calvin Johnson. Lions seem like they'd be a willing partner. Their 1st, 2nd and 3rd plus a 2nd next year might do it.

I don't believe you can trade comp picks though.

that would be a great idea, but i have a feeling the raiders are going to draft CJ..... and try to pick up david carr.......

Damn the Chargers get one for Brees..... they get stronger and they didnt even do nothing.., Niners are ridiculous with 8 in the first 4.
