I think it's a no brainer... If you have 2 roster spots, you put Beno/Fabri on the beer bucket... I mean WTF???

If you were Coach Pop, what would you do??

Beno and Fabri blow chunks... Proven chunk blowers...

White and Ely could be the next young fountain of youth in this bitch and startation of a new dynasty....

WTF?

Can a brotha get a minute?

Good night Sequ.
Are you still hung over? The game just ended and you're going to bed. Run to the store and buy a 6-pack and stay up for a few hours. You'll enjoy it :toast = :drunk

Beno shouldn't get any time. Oberto is still useful in spot minutes - he knows the system and hustles his ass off. He just isn't physically gifted enough to overcompensate for his shortcomings.

Oberto is the little engine that could.
Beno is an engine with a thrown rod.

Ely still plays for the Spurs?

If you had to take 12 guys with no IR players... would you actually take Beno/Oberto over Ely and White??? I don't get it...

I will continue to stand by my word, Beno does not want to play in SA despite what the dude says and it shows. He's so over the Spurs. He's terrible.

In the playoffs they get to take 13 (12 plus one IR player they can rotate game to game I believe).

I don't think they'd leave Beno (or Oberto) off in favor keeping both Ely and White on the playoff roster. It will be one or the other of Ely/White.

Can timvp just declare that Beno will be waived before the playoffs so it can happen?

We'd have to see more of Ely to pick him over Oberto for the playoffs. But I'd take White over Beno.

I say White. Unless he plays Ely some before the season's over to get a bit used to things, I'd go w/ him over Ely. At least at this point.

White/Oberto is way better than Beno/Ely.

I would take White over Beno no question.

Ely over Oberto?

Ely would have to prove it.

Oberto proves to play pretty decent in playoff setting type games.

Hasn't Ely only played about 40 seconds since we got him? Kind of hard to judge the guy beyond his choice of street clothes. Is he hurt or something?

I'd take White at this point as we are stacked with Elson, Oberto, Bonner, and Horry at the C position. Gone are the days, at least in the Western conference, where we would need Ely to body up in the post against a solid C (see Shaq). We need runners, hustlers, squirrley (sp?) guys at that C position to keep slow Ds on their toes.

It's sad to realize we have gone from a power game in the low post (see DRob) to hoping someone shows up out of all the guys we have on our roster. Geez.

I would leave Beno off of the playoff roster. Put White on the roster, and hopefully from now till the end of the regular season, Ely can get some quality minutes in. He will need to do alot to prove that he deserves minutes over Oberto. iy fou haven't noticed, Oberto has only been playing garbage time in the past few games. Bonner has taken almost all of Oberto's playing time. Fabio could be falling out of the rotation, which could result in Ely passing him in the rotation as well.

I'd leave Beno off if only because it gives Pop fewer options for a Small Ball lineup.

But it won't happen.

Doesn't matter-- none of them will play.

Beno plays as if a string has snapped, probably Pop cut it at some point and sp now Beno's freefloating.
White has shown he has a player's primal sense of court awareness and a rather efficient ability level of analyzing def sets whereby he can pass off or remain active off the ball, placing himself where he can be the most effective.
He's proactive instead of reactive, which is a breath of fresh air.
