Brutal game from all of the lakers...not just Kobe. To lose to the Grizz...sad, but I'm happy it happened. We only shot 11 ft's the whole game. A poorly officiated game from both ends. No passion, and no effort. I'm happy because we still need a lot of work on the defensive end... No Kwame tonight hurt, that's for sure. Also career games from guys named Harrignton, Gay and other scrubs. I do like Gay though...The lakers the last 5 games barely beat the bottom feeders and needed Kobe to score a ton of points. He has an off night...what happened....they lose. MVP for sure..... :)

The Kobe haters are in full effect...good news for this board...bad news for the NBA. Truely he's the only star people care about....love and hate, are a beautful thing.

Very ugly game. No excuse for losing to Memphis. We'll bounce back. But what the hell was Smush doing taking the last shot?? :wtf :pctoss

Kobe was covered and trippled...he was open....still the injuries hurt us...no Mo Evans and Brown hurt our D.

Kobe never even came out for the pass. It looked like it was drawn up for Smush all the way. They were also missing Miller and Atkins so no excuses.

Kobe had an off game...didn't get to the line as he was during his 5 game run. He got fouled quite a bit and harrased...see the Lakers shoot only 11 ft's. Still, you got get him the ball regardless....oh well. 1 game, big deal.

I have no clue why. He just nailed a clutch 3 right before.

Phil just said it was drawn up for Smush. He said if Smush was open give him the ball. WTF??

Yeah he started off the game by missing those first 2 FT's. I don't think I've ever seen that. But it's only one game and now we're either the 6 or 7 seed unless something drastic happens. Spurs and Suns are both tough, but I'd rather face the Suns anyway. As long as we don't have to face Dallas in the first round I'm OK with it.

Yeah, I know, I saw him make that clutch three. Dumb play drawn up by Jackson in my opinion. Has Smush made a clutch play all year?

I'm sure he has. He does from time to time. But they are few and far between. Yeah very dumb play IMO. Give the ball to Kobe. But he thought Smush would knock it down. We wouldn't be complaining if he hit it, he was open, so what can you say.

Yeah, I guess, but give me Kobe in those type of situations. He seems to thrive in that type of situation.

See, everyone was so quick to jump and say "Lakers over the Spurs in the first round" just because the Lakers won a few games and are 38-33. Funny.

Or maybe it's because the Lakers are 2-1 against the Spurs this season, including a win in San Antonio. And, the one loss to the Spurs was by 2 points thanks to a Michael Finley last second overtime 3-pointer, with the Lakers not playing with either Kwame Brown or Luke Walton.

Maybe?

:lol These guys know they fear the Lakers. Why else would every loss be thread worthy? This is therapy for them. They still have nightmares of the being humiliated by the Lakers in the playoffs this decade.

2001 - 4-0 Lakers
2002 - 4-1 Lakers
2003 - 4-2 Spurs
2004 - 4-2 Lakers

The only time the spurs won in this decade was when the lakers were attempting to do something no other team since the 50's Celtic has done, Win 4 straight titles. They didn't have the stamina nor the will to continue the streak. You can tell the spurs win was a fluke because the lakers took them out the next season. :hat

The Lakers have not been a real threat to the Spurs since 2002. Sorry, that was 5 years ago.

Say what you want about 2004, the Spurs came back the following year and won the NBA championship. Spurs have won 2 titles since the end of the Lakers in 2002.

Spurs worry about the Lakers like a 3rd seed should worry about a 6 seed. I would like to know from Laker fans why Spurs should worry about the Lakers more than that???

what makes the lakers so dangerous in the playoffs??

Medvedenko
03-28-2007, 12:58 PM
If I were the spurs I wouldn't be worried. We have too many injuries and people banged up. I can see us steal a couple of games...but that's it.

If the Lakers are not healthy, you have nothing to worry about. If the lakers are healthy, you have plenty of worries. Phil knows how to beat the spurs and the Spurs can not match up to the Lakers. They will have to adjust and that is something that Pop is not good at. He will probably go small against the lakers and that will not work for the spurs.

Plus the fact that the lakers handled the spurs quite easily this season.

TheMulvany

The Lakers suck. The only reason the Spurs haven't dominated them in the playoffs is because they haven't faced them in forever. The Lakers are a first round exit every year now.
