dear suns,
please make spursdynasty (who is cheering for the warriors to make 8th seed) pee his pants tonight...keep it close until sometime in the third letting him think they have a chance and then pull a normal suns *sike!* on the warriors. i don't know who to root for in this game. i'm not worried about the warriors in the playoffs so it seems like i should root for them, but their win over the suns would mean nothing to the mavs. however, a suns win would put us closer to meeting the clippers in the playoffs and sam cassell's back would probably give us a sweep of the clippers in the first round, which would be nice.

So if the Spurs crushed the Warriors like Godzilla stepping on Japanese dudes, but the Warriors upset the Mavs and Suns... Nah, I won't even say it.

that means the spurs would beat the warriors to get to the finals...and then they would get beat down by that team that swept them in the regular season, the cavs! :lol

they're only on every other game at best...particularly with no d playing teams...they have done well against the mavs but it wouldn't be the same in the playoffs, they aren't consistent enough with the offense
How can you not fear a team that blows out both the mavs and suns. They were a bad matchup for us before they got this good.

Funny...this little surge by the Suns might get D'Antoni thinking they still have a shot so he'll play his starters more.

I wonder what the players say about him behind his back. They've got to be pissed that he still plays his top 5 in routs on either side.

as much as i like watching the Suns get the shit kicked out of them, i cant believe some of the ridiculous hacks and bumps that GS keeps getting away with. I just saw Pietrus grab Diaw's waist with both hands like 3 times when he had the ball, and when he went up with the shot. or the ridiculous no-call that caused Nash to get a tech.

How can you not fear a team that blows out both the mavs and suns. They were a bad matchup for us before they got this good.

i don't think any of the three meetings this season are a good indicator for the playoffs when it comes to the mavs/warriors.

game one - mavs were in the midst of a four game losing streak at the beginning of the season. does this mean ANYTHING now when it comes to meeting those teams? not really.

game two - warriors played a great game meeting the mavs on the mavs' second game of a btb and one game before they matched up the suns in a hyped up game. were the mavs' heads in it? maybe....maybe not. this could be another instance in which the warriors truly owned the mavs but i'm not so sure there weren't other factors involved.

game three - this game will be the second to last game played in the regular season. so close to the playoffs, it won't mean anything to the mavs who will probably be resting the starters.

as for the losses last season, the mavs lost a close game (one point) w/o jho, mavs lost another game w/o harris, mavs won a game with a healthy mavs team, warriors won a game against a healthy mavs team.

i'm not trying to diss the warriors, they have played very well against the mavs and they are a very good team that plays exciting bball at times. however, i'm not going to say that i *fear* a matchup between the mavs/warriors when i don't. i would prefer not to see them because i think they can take 1-2 games from us, whereas a clippers team with unhealthy cassell would be easier to sweep.

mavsfan1000
03-29-2007, 11:50 PM
I bet if the Warriors were healthy all year they would get about 50 wins. Richardson and Davis are now both healthy and playing a much higher level than all season because of it. Dallas has no answer for either player when healthy.

To say that GS is beating a team they "should be beating" implies they're either the favorites (which they weren't) or they have a considerable matchup advantage (which they necessarily don't). You need to get away from your little crutch phrase.

oh cool, four good games coming up! i think spurs can win both of those games and i could see the dallas and denver games going either way. d'antoni limited their minutes a bit tonight so they might be good to go tomorrow but denver will try to run them out of the house early so they get tired. dallas game is a toss up, i like the mavs if dirk and jho are good to go but these games are so unpredictably frustrating i can't say i'm certain about anything with regards to sunday's game.

What we learned from this game:
Nellie will kill anyone that tries to out-smallball him. He wrote the book on that shit.
Too bad he can never beat Popovich or PJax to save his life.
Warriors, when they are on, are still dangerous. They have wins against us, Suns, Detroit and one against Spurs as well. They would win one or two against us in a possible matchup. I just think that the Clippers will take that 8th spot, and then we will own their depleted backcourt.
