This being light stuff I just wanted to post it for fun and to see about things from another's viewpoint:

(Julien Debove edits a French basketball magazine, called Reverse)

The European Basketball site BasketSession has a little poem, by Julien
Debove, about Luis Scola. Here's an excerpt:

They say he's 6'9 and he plays atrocious D.
They even drafted him 50 freaking picks after Tskitishvili.
But he would score 20 a night for the Blazers
If only his draft rights didn't belong to the Spurs...

Sure he looks like Sgt Garcia from Zorro had a son
But don't tell me he is worse than Francisco Elson.
He might well be an All-Star would he play for the Clippers
Yet his draft rights do belong to the Spurs...

A contract did you sign, for 14 freakin years,
so spare us all your whining, spare us all your tears.
As we battled Shaq n Kobme, Dirk n lover Dick Bavetta,
You were stuck somewhere in Spain, you weren't helping us get betta.

Anyone wanna help do a team poem?

Kobme makes it sound gay. His fucking name is Kobe.

He hails from Slovenia, standing 6'3"
And he barely gets more playing time than either you or me
If the game has been decided, then his shot looks fine
But if there's any doubt at all you want him on the pine

He's won himself three championships and a pair of MVPs
He does it all without mad hops or shooting lots of threes
He undresses post defenders, making them look dumb
And his typical postgame speech goes "Umm, umm, umm."
