Amare Stoudemire tied his career-high with 38 points against the Hornets on Wednesday night, just one night after pouring in 34 points against the Mavericks. Stoudemire is currently averaging 27.6 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, and one steal per game on 57 percent shooting from the field. "He's a man-child," Hornets coach Byron Scott told the Arizona Republic. "He just reminds you so much of Shawn Kemp in his prime. It's going to be scary to see this guy in a couple years."

Reality check: Amare Stoudemire just turned 22 years old this week. Scary indeed. In the last two games, if Amare had converted his free throws at a rate near his season average of 83 percent, he would have gone over 40 points in both contests. We'd like to see Stoudemire bring his rebounding average into double-digits, but for a guy who now qualifies at center in most formats, the dude is a beast no matter which way you cut it.
