Pierce Unhappy In Boston?
30th March, 2007 - 1:52 pm
ESPN -
Paul Pierce has had a rough season with the Celtics and shared his feelings about his recognition, his future and what Boston will do this summer.

"It's definitely another year gone by for me," Pierce told the Boston Herald in an interview published Friday. "It's another year we don't get into the postseason. It's another year I don't get recognized for the things I do. I'm the classic case of a great player on a bad team, and it stinks."

Pierce, a five-time All-Star, has suffered through injuries and an 18-game losing streak by Boston this season. Despite those difficulties, Pierce has managed to average 25 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

well you shouldn't have signed the contract then, dummy. it was pretty obvious that the celtics were lottery bound last summer.

Pierce needs to tone down that humility.

Way to throw his teammates under the bus

Too bad that a number one pick won't make you an instant contender either. Have to wait for rookie development and pray they aren't a bust.

Wow, wait until Kevin Durant starts taking away some of his touches. I bet he'll be complaining even if the Celtics are winning. Dude's a loser.

He needs to wait it out. The Celtics are in for some good things in the next few years

Yeah, but he won't be the guy getting all the isos and he won't be allowed to get away with taking terrible shots. I'm not sure he'll like that any better. I wouldn't take him on my team.

Truly great players don't end up in the cellar of the worst conference in history.

Pierce is just a flashier Joe Johnson. Maybe someday he'll make a decent 2nd or 3rd fiddle on an elite team.

i don't think you can blame pierce. it's not like he can fire his GM.
