Watching the Clippers and the Lakers, Clippers up 8 I believe right now.
The Clippers are only 2 games behind the Lakers, if they win tonight.
The Nuggets, half a game.
It COULD happen, but doubtfull. The friggen Spurs could play the Clippers in the first round.
Wow, that would be ideal.

don't you thnk the chances of us facing the nuggs are stronger than the clippers right now?
i'd rather face the nuggs over lakers
but if you throw the clipps into the mix then bring them on!

They showed the graphic, The Hornets are only 2 games out of a playoff spot.
The Warriors are like half a game back.
Just craziness.

Clippers win.
They are 1 loss behind the Lakers.

for the Spurs facing the Clippers would be the best thing possible. No Cassell weakens that team in the playoffs

Clippers are 37 and 37
Lakers are now 39 and 36.
The Clippers, play the Hornets, who are 2 and a half out of the 8th spot, TWO MORE TIMES!!
:lmao
This is sooo awesome!!!!!!

Yeah, I think I'll be keeping up with the records in this final stretch. It'll be interesting who we draw. Since it's all pretty close.
But it'd be funny if Nuggets, Clipperes, Warriors all make their charge, and Lakers miss the playoffs again. That'd be ideal. :smokin

I pray the Mavs face the Warriors. They will probably win the series but you can't tell me the Warriors don't give the Mavs trouble. Especially with the Nellie factor. Lakers or Warriors or who I want to see the Mavs face. Nuggets as well. This is probably the deepest playoffs in a long time. I don't see any first round sweeps.

Kobe keep away = small ball
Difference is...Phil won't be stupid enough to play Kobe keep away in the playoffs.
I personally would rather not play the Lakers, I think we are an awful matchup with them...
They've got scorers, Duncan defenders, can exploit our SF issues, have youth, size and athleticism where we lack it...
in fact it would not surprise me if Phil was deliberately trying to get the Spurs in the first round. If he can pull off a win their confidence will be huge, and Phil can get his teams to play amazingly well once they have confidence.

I want the Lakers. They are playing fucking horrible and I smell a sweet 4 game anihilation mirroring the 2001 fiasco. Shoes reversed of course

It really seriously looks like the Lakers are tanking the rest of the way just so they don't have to play the Spurs. If so, they're playing with fire...the Clippers and Warriors aren't too far behind them, and the Nuggets could pass them by the end of the week.

That'd be nice, but that Lakers team was a bone-crushing force of nature in the playoffs. This year's Spurs squad by comparison can hardly be called ruthless and dominating.
We've got an outside chance to win the title, and we're gonna need more luck than ever. I'd rather see us save the effort and miracles for Phoenix and the Mavs. Our aging bones could really use an easy 1st round.
PJ and Kobe really seem to be inspired when they play the Spurs. I don't want to go anywhere near 'em.

no, they're just garbage. have you been watching them last month or so? other than that little streak they put together against the worst teams in the league, the lakers have been shit for a while now. i really really want to the spurs to play the lakers in the first round.

Why do people always want their team to face the suckiest competition? I want to play and DEFEAT the best. If that's the Lakers, Suns, Mavs, and Detroit, then so be it.

So, all the teams have to come across Dallas or San Antonio, or Phoenix or Utah in their upcoming schedules, and other teams they can take...
so ideallyyy...,
starting by Friday,
The teams should go as follows,
in terms of Wins and Losses
Golden State - 6-1 (they play Dallas on their 2nd to last game :lol ) 42-40 / or 5-2 41 41
Denver - 5 -3 43 39
Clippers - 6-2 43 39 (give or take with these two)
Lakers - 2-5 / 41 41 /
or really Ideal here: 1-6 40 42
I don't know if I got it right, but here's hoping!
What would happen if Golden State tied with the Lakers?? Or any bottom rung teams for that matter tied?

That's true. I'd rather face Denver than weak Clippers....
but, I guess ideally, it's like the same attitude of hoping your team goes for a sweep in the early rounds, because it'll let your odds of staying fresh for the next two rounds go up.
But yeah, knowing you've had the toughest route on the way to victory does make it much sweeter.

We're old, we need a break.
This year's team can win the title...but IMO it's not likely. We're gonna have to get lucky.
And I'd rather be lucky than good. I'm greedy...I want Tim to win another title to make up for bad breaks like the .04 and Manu's stupid foul.
After awhile nobody remembers how you got there, it's all about the rings.
Case in point, MJ's Bulls. They beat some pretty weak competition in at least 3 of their championships. Who cares?
