There are some reports about the Spurs showing some interest in Matías Lescano, a shooting guard playing in the LEB League in Spain. Apparently he'd had a meeting last Friday with Sam Presti, a scout working for the Spurs.

Lescano said 'I was talking to him after the game and he told me that he'd had a good impression. He told me that it was difficult for them to find active players, luchadores (?) and creative at the same time'. 'This is very nice but no more than a dream. The NBA is another world and I want to keep my feet on the ground. I feel proud that they come to see me, but it won't drive me crazy. I only think of getting to the ACB with the CAI (his team) which is something much more feasible'.

From what they say it seems like a very ordinary first contact between a scout and a player but the strange thing is that it's getting a little to much media attention if that was the case.

Anybody heard something about this? It seems a bit far-fetched to me...

I guess they could sign him if Devin or Sato leaves. Otherwise, doesn't seem like much. He hasn't even made it to the ACB yet.
