Pretty stupid huh? Grand prize is $5,000. It costs $20 to enter. I'm probably gonna end up paying a thousand though. 20 to enter, and the rest for a medical bill. I love the sport and wan't to see where I'm at. I played LB in school so I'm pretty strong. I hope I can use it as an advantage. I due know a little bit of Jue Jitzue. Don't know how to spell it but I do know a little bit. Also watching UFC should help. It's five rounds in 4 days. The first 3 days, you just have 1 2 round match. On the 4th day in the morning there is a 2 round match, then a 3 round championship that night. I don't expect to be there.

It's outside of Jonesboro Arkansas. We actually had a Jiu-Jitsu teacher once, and I took some lessons. I decided I wanted to play sports again and quit, so there is where I got some experience. It starts next Monday. Thats 1 week to train to get the whoopin of my life. :lol

:dizzy i don't get it. you're risking getting your ass kicked/injured for james fucking white? am i missing something here? and by the way, its usually wise to get some versatile training in advance for things like this. either way, good luck guy.

The James White thing was a joke.

It is wise, but it was such short notice to get into any training center. I'm just gonna practice swinging and lift some weights.

It sounds like this won't be a bunch of highly trained MMA fighters? I could be wrong...

If you're fighting somebody that's obviously got more training / skills you better hope you can overpower them and don't gas out. A GnP approach is probably your best bet...

Make sure a buddy videotapes this too, BTW... :lol

Crap ya'll, I misread the sign. It says it starts Thursday, and the latest you can enter is today. I don't know why I though it said next Monday. I got the money in, but wasted valuable time talking here. Now I'll get whooped sooner, rather than later.

Sorry for not post last night, but me and my buddies went out to eat. That was part of the deal, I enter the contest they take me out. I lost to a black man (no racism intended) named Roland Williams. He came out and hit me with a right, and I figured he was right-handed. So I thought I could stand up the whole match. We'll turns out, he was left handed. I was shocked when he hit me left handed. It went all they way, and it was a judges decision. Many say that was the best fight of the night, but I know he beat me. I would tell you more, but I don't remember anything else. I proud of myself, because I didn't get knocked out or tap. I left with a black left eye that I can't see out and a cut over my right eye. I gues you can say it was a slight slugfest. We never went to the ground.

Yeah, no video, however we do have pics and when they get developed I'll get them on here. I'm sure another fan had a video though, and if I can find one I'll get that on here as well. It was a good experience, but I'd never do it again.

so, were these guys just like you? untrained and just looking for a good time, or where they pretty serious MMA fighters?

Non where seriously trying to be in the UFC or nothing. For the most part though they knew how to fight.
