This thread is solely about alcohol consumption.

There is no alternative.

The liability potential is too great.

It wouldn't shock me. There have been several gross overreactions to sports related incidents in the last few years.

Best option is probably to raise beer prices in Detroit.

At any games? Baseball, football, basketball?

No way.

No way even for just the NBA. You're messing with peoples' concession profits.

It will be like in Soccer in Europe and So America, there will be a fence betw the fans and the players in the near future.

Does beer sometimes make people act like jackasses at games? Of course. But is that reason enough to ruin it for everyone? Hell no.

With 100% certainty, the only reason this hasn't happened to this extent at a baseball or football game is because of the fence.

Going to games, I've seen more fights in the stands in one year of any NFL or MLB season than I have in 30 years of NBA games.

No more.
Or at least no more after Halftime.

Budco. is not going to be a happy camper

I like beer as much as anyone else, but, the beer vendors reap what they sow.

What's wrong with drinking a soda or water at a game.... why must it be beer... It creates the wrong environment.

If one thing annoys me at a game (or a concert) is getting drenched with beer from a fan a row or two behind me. It seems to happen everytime... (Not that I would take the Artest approach)

I know I'm not the only one who has experienced this humiliation. In anycase they should at least ban beer in the lower area close to the court...

Because Beer is good.

I think you might see something like no fourth quarter sales although by that point, it would probably be too late. Maybe also limited beer sales in the sections immediately surrounding the court. I don't see a full out ban in these sections because if somebody pays $200+ for a lower level seat, then they'll want to have the option to buy a beer.

The profit margin is so huge on beer sales, I doubt they'll change a thing.

if they just raise the price of beer to 25 dollars per cup nobody will throw that stuff anywhere.
