The Knicks thought the Bulls acted indecently by running up the score in the final minutes in an attempt to reach a 100-point promotion that would have given its fans free Big Macs. After the final buzzer, it got uglier. Nate Robinson and Steve Francis were restrained by Isiah Thomas as they were trying to go after Tyrus Thomas.

those fucking knicks are sore losers and pathetic. they almost start another brawl. :lol

i wish tyrus thomas would have just knocked those two little jokers' heads together.
when will the knicks figure out that stunts like this just compound their embarrassment?

I don't get what the big deal is. Is see them getting mad if they did it in NY, but they were just trying to get the fans a free big mac.

And even then, if you dont want a team to score, play some fucking defense. And I think the Knicks scored like 68 points in that game, they have no room to complain about shit

Big Macs Anger Knicks
11th April, 2007 - 4:23 am
Chicago Tribune -
Several Knick players accused the Bulls of trying to run up the score in the Bulls' 98-69 blowout win in an attempt to hit the century mark, the Chicago Tribune is reporting. Should the Bulls score 100 points, they provide free Big Macs for the crowd.

Steve Francis and Nate Robinson got in the faces of Bulls rookies Tyrus Thomas and Thabo Sefolosha as the final buzzer sounded. As the teams then retreated to their locker rooms, teammates had to restrain Knicks center Jerome James from going after Thomas.

The brawl earlier in the season between the Knicks and the Denver Nuggets also started after Knick players felt disrespected by J.R. Smith's high flying antics with Denver holding a large lead.

"I know when people are trying to run up the score on you," Francis said. "I told their players that if I was in the game, it would've been something different. I won't do that to nobody and I don't expect nobody to try to do that to the younger players on my team."

"I don't care about the Big Mac. I'm just saying respect, man. Their coach played in the NBA before. He should know that. If somebody did that to him, I'm pretty sure he would be upset."

Bulls coach Scott Skiles, speaking before Francis did, had no problem with his team missing three three-pointers, an alley-oop attempt from Chris Duhon to Thomas and a layup attempt off a rebound in the final 64 seconds after hitting 98 points.

"If we had 92 points with two minutes to go and we're out there jacking threes all over the place, I could see that," Skiles said. "But at the end to shoot the ball and try to tip it in, I've never been accused by anybody of trying to run up the score."

Pressed further, Skiles finally turned sarcastic.

"From everything I hear, they're on the verge of being a great team," Skiles said. "It ought to be a team we should be playing over and over again in the years to come. So something like this shouldn't fester or anything."

Good point francis, since knicks were getting blown out anyway with you on the court. :lol

I bet Isiah had something to with this. This is the 2nd time the Knicks was involved in this because a team was supposedly "running" up the score. I hope they get blasted from everybody with this situation and I hope they enjoy the Bulls play on in the playoffs while they sit and watch them with the rest of us.

This is the NBA you stupid motherfucks. If you don't like teams beating the hell out of you, learn how play hard the whole game and stop them yourselves.

If this was high school, I might have something to say about it. However, there have been worse blowouts in the NBA THIS YEAR and the other team said nothing. Hell, talk to the Sonics about playing the Spurs, even they have kept quiet.

Besides, whining about a team running up the score on you is point-blank admitting that they CAN run the score up on you anytime they want. It's like saying, "I know we suck so take it easy on us."

I hope the Knicks go 0-82 next season. They don't belong in the NBA with comments like that. Wow, the Bulls are SO much better at hoop than the Knicks that the Knick players have to fight them to get any respect back? Ewing is rolling over in his Imperial-sized bed. :lol

Bam! Exactly right. Isiah Thomas's little act has totally worn thin with me. He's such a little crybaby bitch, taking all the losing personally. Maybe if he hadn't done such a horrendous job putting the team together, they wouldn't get into fights over this sort of thing. Some player is going to get hurt playing against the Knicks because Isiah isn't right in the head enough to accept defeat.

Hey, Francis, STFU and play. If you don't want someone to score on you, play defense. Tell your teammates the same thing. It's this attitude that has sent you from being a franchise player to being the World's Biggest Loser.

Francis is pathetic. I can't believe how far he has fallen since he started in Houston.

Man, I thought you spurs fans had some class unlike the mavs fans but you guys didn't really have to resort to that level. I like the spurs but after seeing these comments from spurs fans against my bad new york knick team, I think I might leave this pathetic forum for good.(the forum is not really that pathetic but spurs fans make seem that way)

Forget the bet I made against the mavs, but when being on this forum with a bunch of homo mavs fans isn't enough, you spurs fans really pushed it. This site is no longer good anymore.(This site is still good but IDK right now) I can't believe you spurs fans said that about my team. I've never said anything bad about the spurs; I like the spurs by the way(IDK NOW!) that's why I'm on these forums. But dammit still, I don't know if I want to leave this forum like that because the mavs bet is still on so I think I might have to stick around for that but spurs fans, I can't believe you would stoop to that level. I'm not going to say that all spurs fans are classeless but most are especially after seeing shitty comments about my knicks. You know they are bad but you didn't have to say they're crybabies and pussies and all of the derogatory comments you said.

I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR SPURS FANS ANYMORE.(only a couple I respect on here)

edit- EXCEPT THE MODS.

I will say though, that if they hadnt lost Lee, Richardson and Crawford I really think they would be in the Playoffs this year. Isaih did put a poor team together, but they were playing really well until they lost Crawford

I love that they got in the face of the two rookies on the Bulls.

Even though I think Tyrus Thomas has a bad attitude and is a little bitch, Steve Francis is even worse and Nate Robinson has potential to be Pacman Jones part 2... except his suspension will be for on-the-court actions.

Exactly...it just shows even more what chickenshit pussies those guys are. They're gonna go after a couple of rookies who have no clue what to do in situations like that and will most likely completely back down to them. I would have liked to see Francis and Robinson pull that shit on Ben Gordon or Ben Wallace.

I can't wait to see the next Bulls - Knicks game. I want to see the Knick players try to start something and Ben Wallace going postal on Francis.

Players who talk trash to the media never stand up to or seek out guys like Ben Wallace on the court. I hardly find that a coincidence.

They're a complete reflection of their head coach, who since his playing days has been a whiny chickenshit asshole.
