Duncan's diary has been updated for the first time in over a year!

http://www.slamduncan.com/diary.php

Entry titled "The Home Stretch"

As always, he's well spoken. Or in this case well written.

generic boiler-plate, ghost written, very probably

No, a professional writer would have done much better. Yeah, Tim is just not very expressive. He is not giving us much of a look into how he really feels. I wonder if he does with anyone.

My brother went to the Sac game, and said Tim and Tony were making baby faces at Tim's baby...that sounded awesome to see. Too bad his camera lens was too big and he couldn't bring it in...

I don't know if I believe it's ghost written. He stays private, but if you've followed him over the years you get a sense of who he is. Well, as much as you can with someone you don't know. I find his diary entries to sound like him. Not that a ghost writer couldn't do that but I don't think he's the type to do that. He's real. Down to earth. I don't believe he'd put his name on it if he didn't write it. He simply wouldn't have the section on his site. He's picky about endorsements that he lets his name be associated with. Why would he let his name go on something he didn't write? The entries have the same feel as his interviews do. I think it's him.

Wouldn't a ghost writer be zealous about spelling and editing since writing is his profession?
Not a big deal, but " definitely" was typed wrong.

Also, the spelling of "payed" is correct but isn't "paid" more typical? Is payed how they would spell it in the Virgin Islands?

^ No payed is wrong. I noticed that, too. I'm sure it's wrong in the VI too :)

I agree. A ghost writer wouldn't let mistakes like that slip by.

It was removed quite a while ago. I assume it never got off the ground. I was wondering if his diary was going to disappear as well, it had been longer than ever between entries.

sHOULDN'T HE BE BUSY getting ready for games?

Some players worry about scoring 50 points a game while their team loses, others post a diary entry once a year.

I agree. A ghost writer wouldn't let mistakes like that slip by.

What about a ghost writer who does not want to correct mistakes that a player might make in order to disguise that a ghost writer wrote it up?

Maybe Ghost Writer wrote it.

I think Tim, just felt he had the time to update with his fans.

It is pretty dry. But well-composed and considerate of him to update us directly before the playoffs. I'm pretty sure he wrote it himself. You just have to give these guys the benefit of the doubt.

I remember Manu answering a similar query, "why would i pay someone to write for me, I wouldn't like that, because what would be the point if it's not coming from myself? " or something like that.

I like reading Manu's little blog or updates, and you could tell it's more of his voice as opposed to Tim's awkward, "Long time no talk!" intros, they make me laugh. There's a reason why he writes that section every two years! :lol
