Hairston and Kata both starting? What a weird frickin lineup. But Kata just scored, so who am I to say anything? :lol

Kinsler is going to be a superstar some day. Hairston is hot so far this season. Rangers lead 4-0.

Friday night games tend to produce a lot of strange lineups. With a day game tomorrow, Washington is doing the right thing to give Lofton some rest; and, well, Wilkerson remains disappointing, so giving him the night off occasionally makes some sense particularly against lefties.

We need to trade wilkerson by the deadline. Our outfield could be pretty stable if we could trade Wilkerson and Sosa could start hitting. I belive we still have Marlon Byrd we can bring up.

As disappointing as Wilkerson has been, the notion of playing Marlon Byrd in Wilkerson's place should be enough to make Rangers fans worship at the altar of Brad Wilkerson.

Millwood is solid as hell tonight. He keeps like this, I say he can go 8 innings, then bring in Gagne for the 9th. I am most interested in seeing him pitch in the majors for first time in a few years again.

The game is on Time Warner channel 4, if anyone cares :lol

I was watching the Stars game - how did the Rangers put up 4? Longball or stringing hits together?

Two of the runs were off an Ian Kinsler bomb. The other two were stringing together hits, plus an error by the M's. It's 4-2 now.

Kinsler homered and Hairston barely missed one. Tex still stuggling.

Ive been really impressed with Kata and Hairston. It seems Young is getting back to doing what he does best. Our bullpen is awesome. I cant wait to see Gagne tonight.

DAMNIT, Putz is on my fantasy team and though I am happy Kata homered, that's gonna hurt :lol

Here comes Gagne! Seems like the bullpen was cheering him on, let's hope all the goodwill works!

Kata Homers! He really needs to play more. I agree with the broadcasters about the fact that Kata may be this years Mark DeRosa. Gagne time. Hes got a 3 run lead. Time to show us what you got.

thanks for the info - that was a sweet save by Gagne, very nice to see the bullpen pick up 3 solid innings and get the save. Hopefully a good sign for the rest of the season if the Benoit, Otsuka, Gagne line can keep nailing down games.

we got smacked today. i didnt know if should have given padilla a contract like that. if he continues this we may have to put him on the block.(a little premature, i know) At least Wilkerson and Sosa homered. Hopefully that will help them get back on track.

Padilla is what he is, a very inconsistent pitcher.

Although, wasn't there some errors today that screwed him over?

Yes

Bases loaded no outs scoreless ballgame. Padilla gets a groundball hit to blalock who kicks the ball and does not record an out. Next pitch gets a ground ball hit to Kinsler who losses his footing and falls as the ball hits his glove and goes behind him. Should have been out of the inning with only allowing 1 run.

I have a feeling Teixiera is going to have a big day. Maybe 2 homers, 4 RBI. Im glad to see McCarthy out there again. The Danks deal looks good so far.

McCarthy is getting rocked. Tejada and Millwood are the only consistant starters so far. I hope our bats get cooking.

Man, remember a year ago when we could have gotten Josh Beckett for Hank Blalock and John Danks? WHY DIDNT WE DO IT?!

Loe is already in and its only the 3rd. I thought Loe was our 5th starter since jamie is out and chen is our long relief guy. guess not.

Are you fricken nuts?!

Tex is notoriously slow starter, why would you say something like this two weeks into the season? You are waaay too reactionary for baseball, there are 162 games in the season.
