They will be at Sunset Station on the 27th! I might go because I really want to see Blue October and Kat McPhee. Plus if my boys, Nothing More, open for them I for sure want to go and support them.

There a good band dude, sorry deal with it. I dont by any of there albums or anything, just trying to give suggestions. What makes you musical opinion so great? You got some great secret bands to tell the world about?

mardigan
04-14-2007, 04:23 PM
why doesn't everyone just go ahead and listen to some Stevie Ray Vaughan
Oh, I get it, you heard one song from them. Good for you

ashbeeigh
04-14-2007, 04:24 PM
I might go see them in Corpus in a few weeks. I think they're pretty good.

mardigan
04-14-2007, 04:26 PM
secret bands? just because you've never heard it doesn't mean it's good. (not trying to be mean, just save you from wasting a lot of time)
Alright dude, you win, I cant compete with the Dylan, SRV and Hendrix name drops, you are a music guru

Sorry, I guess I shouldnt have gotten inloved with a music know-it -all.
And you called out one band I named, maybe you shouldnt talk shit about my musical knowledge untill you have heard the others. But whatever, I guess I will just go back to Listening to Blonde on Blonde and maybe I will be as versed as you.

Bob dylan sounds like a muttering rambling fool.

I don't see how thats good music.

T Park

That is what most people call you in the Spurs Forum.

Considering the source, I could care less.

T Park
04-14-2007, 05:30 PM
round here we's likes to call it the git-tar

Stevie Ray Vaughn? Hell yeah, great stuff.

Dylan? Can hardly understand him half the time.

leemajors

dylan = greatest lyricist of the 20th century. no comp. time magazine had him right behind duke ellington as the most influential artist of the 20th century. while rankings like that don't usually jive with me it's hard to argue against.

leemajors
04-14-2007, 05:39 PM
blood on the tracks is also choice.

T Park
04-14-2007, 05:46 PM
lyricist? Great. I agree.

But singer? no.

leemajors
04-14-2007, 05:50 PM
on the other hand, rolling stone magazine ranked srv as the 7th greatest guitarist of all time...7th!!!! that is shameful. i wouldn't argue against srv and jimi being tied for number one... of course, rolling stone also ranked every single eminem album in their top 500 greatest albums of all time list..so..what does that tell you

rolling stone is, well, rolling stone.

I haven't seen them live but did hear them when they were on Kidd Kraddick a few months ago. The performance was awesome.

I am going to the concert next week...well about 90% sure. lol

But I should have posted this before..

Can you all please go to the Mix96.1 page (http://www.mix961.com/pages/mixfestopeningbandvoting.html) and vote for Nothing More? I'd really like to see them open the show. They've opened for Hinder (In Padre during spring break) and also the Taste of Chaos at the AT&T Center last month. Please!! I hate to beg but really... lol
