Will Pop go small against the Mavs in the WCF?

Will it work?

How important is Elson if the Spurs are to beat the Mavs?

Can Elson really guard Dirk on the perimeter?

Can we defend the paint and rebound against the Mavs?

The answers to these questions will have a large part in determining the winner.

I am not sure if he is playing on Sunday.

The other thing is that when Phoenix's victory over Utah, it is overwhelmingly probable that we will not be able to overcome them for the second seed.

Therefore, we may not play our starters. Certainly, Dallas won't because they have no reason to. The importance of this game is zero.

LOL This is why I dislike Spurs fans for being so cocky SOBs.

First beat the Nuggets and Suns before even thinking about the Mavs...

Use your brains!!!

It is difficult to imagine how the Spurs and Mavs don't play each other in the WCF.

I am not disrespecting the Nuggets, but they have very little chance of beating the Spurs for numerous reasons (poor outside shooting, porous defense).

The Suns are a very good team, but they have little more than an outside shot of taking down the Spurs.

Whoever plays Dallas in the first round will get punished.
If Houston beats Utah (by no means a given), I don't see anyway that they can beat Dallas. It is too easy for Terry and Howard to penetrate into the lane and get Yao in foul trouble. Houston is not as good as they were 2 years ago.

Maybe you should heed your own advice.

Why are you even in a Spurs forum? Shouldn't you be more worried about the Pistons and posting in one of there forums? Or maybe the Raptors or Cavs?
This is why I hate Heat fans for being cocky SOB's.

So you rag on the Spur fan for thinking ahead and disregarding rounds, and then you do the same thing for the Suns.

if the spurs play small ball more than just for a few minutes at a time, they have no shot. our defense will be layup line, just like it was last year.

Yes.
It won't.
Meaningless.
Hell no. I don't know why we have DPOY candidate in the team? If Timmy can't defent Dirk, nobody can.
Yes we can, but not with small ball.
