I saw a toddler get hit by a foul at a minor league game last year. It was a sobering experience considering how drunk I was at the time. Baseball coaches ALWAYS tell their players it doesnt hurt to get hit by the ball (from what I remember from little league). Fucking liars.

At one of the Spring training games I was at last month a foul ball went through the net right behind homeplate and hit and old man in the throat. He dropped instantly to the ground and wasn't taken out of the park for another four innings.

I saw that last night. Dude really got his bell rung. Fell face first to the ground, and couldn't get his hand up to break the fall. I felt bad for him.
