Love him?Hate him? Dont care?
Personally I dont like him though I do admitt he helps the Spurs out sometimes. He has a tenancy of fouling. He also seems to like and run around looking like he has no clue how to play basketball. I'd like to see him get traded.

he's decent as a lightly used backup but has no business starting
nor does Elson for that matter, but i guess we're stuck with what we got

I don't think Elson is too bad of a player. I think he is far better then Oberto.

I might be one of the only people who likes Oberto's game. Pass-first, shoot second. A nice complimentary player

I understand what you mean but a lot of the time he just runs around looking rather clueless.

I agree with that statement, I just don't think Elson is starter material.

I know exactly what you mean. He is no where near being good enough to be a starter. Im not happy with Barry being a starter either..put Manu back in. Well.. it is sort of a good thing hes on bench. More bench points, gets the bench some higher spirits, and leaves Manu all rested up to come in and really help out the Spurs.

Oberto sucks.
He's old, he can't dunk, he can't jum, can't score...
Yesterday did a nice job on D, especially on Dirk and rotating. I'd like to see him on Nowiztki in an eventual Spurs-Mavs playoffs series. He's a good role player. Besides fouling he hardly commits mistakes.

i see oberto as a more team player , doesn't quite have the individual talent but a heck of a teammate

He fouls so much it makes him look like he has no clue what basketball is.

Right after Tim was ejected, horse mouth ran right over an Oberto screen. Looked kind of painful.

That pissed me off!! Are the refs saying that setting screens is no longer acceptable? Or is it only acceptable if the other player doesn't run into you? It was a total bullsh-t call, like a lot of the calls in that game.

BTW, I like Oberto. I think he works hard and tries hard. I think he plays with passion. The fact that he's not gifted with height or athleticism is not his fault. He reminds me of Malik Rose. You can count on him to give you honest effort and some quality minutes now and then.

That was a horrible call and that time it wasn't Oberto's fault there was a foul. Howawrd was running at him all kung fu style.

While the foul should have been called on Howard, he didn't throw himself at Oberto. He just ran into & thru him. He wasn't trying to draw a foul :rolleyes
