Listening to that Whopping 30 minute Spurs Game Time React show. It’s obvious Charlie Parker either did not watch the game or if he did he missed the “Laughing Tech Ejection Call” along with the Replays showing Duncan, Horry and other teammates laughing not saying a word, yet Crawford from the other side of the court singled out Tim and Ejected him. There were a couple of callers saying they think Crawford had it out for Tim. Charlie came back basically saying that was stupid to think that Crawford had his mind set to eject Duncan. He said we don’t know what Tim may have said (to deserve the 2nd tech), uhhhh yes we do, if you would have seen the replays, all Tim did was laugh, so did Horry and other teammates.

The Funny thing is Parker’s co-host, David Chancellor, who was in Dallas for the game, join’s the show about ˝ way through saying “Ha, Ha, Ha, oh wait I guess you can’t do that, that will get you a “T”, then he said Tim Duncan is probably going to get fined for saying Joey Crawford had a vendetta against him.

Charlie Parker tried to dismiss this as a meaning-less game. I guess it wasn’t a meaning-less game to Avery “None of my Starters are going to play more that 26 minutes” Johnson.

I was looking forward to hearing Charlie - I figured he'd be on a tear about the ejection. But I was really disappointed by his attitude and comments and turned it off after just a few minutes.

He strongly believed that Tim deserved the ejection and that Tim must've said something to Crawford even though a caller tried to tell him what Michelle Tafoya had reported. He also said he wouldn't take any calls that had to do with the topic. What a jerk!

I'm sure he is a nice man but he is the weakest sports talk host around. Talk about clueless. He must have an iron clad 10 year contract or pictures of Mr. Mays. I do not listen to the react anymore because it is completely unlistenable. Chancellor is OK but Mr. Parker needs to be replaced. I enjoyed Andy Everett's show. Put him together with Chance.

I consider myself a strong Spurs fan. I remember looking forward to the pre and post game shows. Since the change from the thompsons as post game hosts I have not listened to a single post game show. You could not pay me to listen to a Charlie Parker hosted show. He is the most inept clueless radio mouth in S.A. The end of his radio days cannot come quick enough.

Yeah, it pissed me off that he took that stance too... his job is to have people interested in the show... he obviously didnt realise how BAD that ejection was... it was THE story... and he wanted to just ignore it...

Was a pretty BUSH move on his part...

Charlie Parker is a fucking moron. Always has been, always will be.

He has an incredibly weak grasp on the game itself, not to mention just bizarre opinions sometimes.

Plus this is his job. Comments which are clearly contradictory to what actually happened in the game are inexcusable. Just pay attention. What do you mean we don't know what Duncan did to get the second technical? You could see it in the multitude of replays ABC put up.

I am glad to know I am not the only one who felt Charlie's post game show was awful.

I only stayed tuned in as long as I did because I wanted to hear Chancellor's report.

Charlie Parker has no business commenting on sports anymore. He's fat, lazy and lost in his own 'Tommy Kramer is my borther in law" world. It's old, tired and irrelevant just like....

Parker is an degenerate. I recall him saying he was so drunk during a saints game he had to have his wife come and pick him up.
Later when the show was transfered to the evening a caller made reference to that show, parker denies it and verbally bashes him. Parker is a homo :)

Parker occasionally admits that he sometimes doesn't watch games; still, his refusal to watch is never a reason for him to decline comment in an absolutist way. How anyone at WOAI/the Ticket thinks it's a good idea for Charlie to be involved in something like this is beyond me. Absolutely beyond me. I tuned in once and turned it off almost immediately. I'm surprised to discover that he's still got the gig.

I'd rather listen to static.

I can say this -- if it wasn't for Charlie and Chancellor's absolutely horrendous morning show, I wouldn't have likely discovered that I could get Tony Bruno on the New Braunfels station every morning. So, I do thank Charlier for that.

I was working therefor listening and when he started calling Spurs fans stupid for their ideas on Tims ejection i was like whats the F? ive never heard his show b4 and i was upset that he would say that and be so blunt to a fellow spurs fan.
and the chance comes on from dallas and he backs up what the *stupid* spurs fans had been saying... Charlie Parker is a moron

I wonder if anybody will ask Wally and Vex about Charlie's Game Time React show from last night.

timvp

Game Night React has been horrible since the days of Andy Everett. And even then it still sucked because half of his shows would be dedicated to bashing David Robinson.

They should cancel it or let someone do it who actually follows the Spurs. If Charlie Parker posted on SpursTalk, he'd probably make SpursDynasty seem like Solid D.

I liked the React when the Thompson Brothers did it.

You guys should email the station about Parker last night. I have heard from at least 100 people about it today, but the station needs to hear about it, not me :)

Normally the program director, but since he got fired - I would guess the Operations Manager George King would be a good place to start.

They tried to ask, Vex said send me an e-mail and he would forward it

Wally said, if you have a problem with Charlie call him up. :rolleyes

If you did call Charlie he would hang up on you and call you stupid like he did last night

Which is precisely why I didn't bother contacting Charlie.

WTF? I have been calling out Charlie Parker for > 5 fuckin years... Now that whiny Duncan gets some run, you're going to take it out on Charlie Parker?

What a bunch of puss bags...

If you want to blame someone, blame Pop and Avery for turning a game that didn't meant shit into a classic world history fuck up.

Retards.

andy everett, and then Jay Howard calling in during the show were fantastic shows.

They were not as good, but great with the Thompsons.

but since they are primadonnas now, they shuffle it off to the waterhead twins.

Charlie parker has zero business being on a radio station, show, microphone, see and say, whatever.

Fire his stoned drug headed ass immediately.

Parker was cutting off callers left and right yesterday when they kept on with the "Crawford was paid off" and such. React as always sucked, and you'll never see WOAI let Parker go. He's about as safe as J.T. The Prick is over at FSR.

somehow I think all those emails will just make the folks at OAI happy that more folks are tunning in and they may tell Charlie to keep it up. They are after making money, not producing good radio.

Andy Everett was the Bomb, he could do a show on his own he would talk about all the stats and he would tell the callers to start calling in. Then when you called in he would ask you a question, then he would say "is that all you have?" "ok thanks for calling"

Why Kori won't give Andrew Ashwood a BJ so she can be on the radio I will never know. Kori and Andy would make a great team. Hell I would settle for Kori and Dusty Garza at this point.

I do remember Charlie talking about having to call his wife, and when a morning caller brought it up he had a major meltdown and told all the callers he would not take calls the rest of the day, What can make a grown man so bitter, and yet never lose his job makes you wonder what he has on the folks on top. If only Charlie could have said nappy headed ho's before Imus, this topic would not be needed..........

Well the powers that be don't have to believe my letter, but they really have lost me as a listner until some radical changes are made.
It's just not worth my time to tune in.
A shame really- listening to the React used to be one of my favorite post game traditions.

I always listen to Bill Schoening's post game show but after that, off the station goes.

One way to show the station we don't like their product is to conduct a boycott on calling in. Leave the station with 'dead air' except for this guy soliloquizing by himself from his deep lack of knowledge. Nothing kills a call-in show quicker than indifference.

It would be a little hard to get the word around to fans NOT to call, but maybe a few 'guerilla' callers could slip it by the 10 second delay.

As much as i hate to bring this parker into the top of the list....it must be done.

(someone get sequ a stepladder.)

I could hardly believe my ears when parker said something about not caring about the att center shirt giveaway. He practically said he could care less.(i'm sure he would spin it if brought up to him).
I swear, when he was actually on a sports talk station, a few years back, he would constantly call for a "blackout". He would plead for everyone to wear black shirts.

Now when shirts are given away he claims he doesn't care that is has happened?

What a bag full of crap. I guess since he had nothing to do with it and can hardly espouse his "sports" opinions on a non-sports station at the worst time of the day, he can just act like he was never a proponent of having everyone in attendance wearing the same color shirt.

What a pussbag.
