WOAI said at the top of their 6pm broadcast today that Duncan will NOT be suspended but a fine is still a possibilty because the league is still investigating the incident.
Don Harris also asked an NBA rep about the future of Crawford and he got the standard answer of "we don't release that info to the public" but the rep did tell him "however there have been exceptions in the past."

Anyway, it seems that he is not playing today.

Wow it sounds like this is just getting worse and worse for JC. I imagine he is full of regret, he probably assumed Ducan would just roll over and never imagined the ramifications of this incident.

He said a fine is still probably on the way, but the league hasn't had time to complete its investigation of the incident.
He did mention that Crawford has been reprimanded by the league before (for the 2003 Spurs-Mavs game where he tossed Don Nelson) and told to keep his temper in check or face tough consequences. Basically Harris was insinuating to expect some type of discipline for Crawford to be handed out by the league.

Why would he have been suspended? As bad of a call as it was, TD just got 2 T's & got ejected. That would never lead to a suspension.

No but comments on the ref-ing in the game always leads to fines. Him saying that he had a vendetta is probably enough for a fine

i agree with this. JC tried to pick on the one he didn't think would fight back.

You cannot treat an MVP and three time NBA Champion like this, especially if its Tim freakin Duncan, the most respectable and harmless player this side of the mississippii, its just flat out wrong. If Duncan gets slapped with huge fines I expect Pop to speak out on his behalf.

they'd fine him too. There's zero policy for talking about refs whether it's true or not.
Pop lets this go no matter what happens. He wants to focus on the playoffs.

shhh, according to Fromwaydowntown, the reason we are losing today is because we are missing our shots, not because we are missing Duncan,Manu+Parker.
