I still don't understand why people are thinking this had something to do with the Mavs and Cuban-it doesn't. It had to do with Crawford being a little bitch. That's it.

Never have I seen such an embarassment. Joey Crawford has to be ashamed of himself. For whatever reason, he let his ego get in the way of rational thought. This is an absolute abuse of authority and there needs to be a precedent set. With the league making it a point to come down hard on players and making them accountable for their actions, how can the same not be held true for the referees? As a fan of the NBA, I sincerely hope this is taken with the utmost seriousness and handled properly. Nba ref's take enough abuse and have a hard enough job as is. Joey Crawford has now made it even tougher.
Joey Crawford doesn't need to be looking for a fight with an NBA player, he needs to be fighting to maintain his own credibility and that of every referee in the National Basketball Association.
Thank you for your time.

If you want to get somewhere and be taken seriously, flood the league's offices with complaints but don't use profanity or ad hominem attacks...And request that Bennett Salvatore be given the boot too.
this is what I sent. It was really hard not to drop a couple F Bombs!!
The Ejection of Tim Duncan durring Sunday's game between the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs was completley uncalled for. Is this the type of officiating we can expect into the playoffs? I don't excuse Duncan's behavior at all, but he was laughing. He was not interfering with the game in any way, he was sharing a laugh with a teammate on the bench. What if they were laughing at something else? The ejection resulted in a momentum swing in the game. Without Tim Duncan the Spurs fell to Dallas. If he is still in the game I believe it has a different outcome. So we now have officials deciding games now. I don't want to see a playoff series decided on account of poor or biased officiating. If Joey Crawford truly challenged Tim Duncan to fight, the NBA has a to treat that seperatley. For the ridiculous ejection of a star player with no history of abuse of officials, I hope the NBA suspends Joey Crawford for the upcoming playoffs. If he threatened a player physically I would hope we would be relived of his position as an NBA official.

Nothing at all to do with the Mavs this was all just Crawford seeing this game as meaningless and he decided it was a good time to go on a EGO trip and get some camera time. What better way to do that than eject one of the best players in the league for no good reason other than Crawford was in a bad mood.

Assuming you are a Spurs fan and don't want to piss off ALL the refs in the league who can be counted on to support their fellow ref, Crawford, against any organized campaign, this is an absolutely shitty idea to do this before the playoffs.
After the playoffs, it would still be a marginal idea. Refs don't like fan pressure or comments about their conduct of the games and biases and they react badly against it.

I wrote a letter too.
To whom it may concern:
I have heard and read several media reports in which Joey Crawford is quoted to have claimed to be upset because Tim Duncan allegedly laughed at him from the bench during the Dallas vs Spurs game on April 15th.
I find the whole situation to be incredibly ironic.
All Joey accompished by his egocentric, senseless, childish behavior that game was make himself the laughing stock of the world-wide audience watching.
And he was thought Tim Duncan laughing at him was bad!
You really handled things, Joey. Feel better now?
Also, is it too much to ask that referees focus their attention on the game at hand, instead of trying to escalate a non existent situation with players sitting on the bench?
I hope not.
Thank you for your time.

After reading the comments--and knowing the mental age level of some posters is about that of a 12 year old--the more I am convinced that this is a really stupid idea.
It won't help at all and will probably be VERY counterproductive. Sort of like tearing up a ticket in front of a cop while telling him 'Fuck you, Asshole."
