How many minutes does Bowen have to play to keep his iron man streak alive? Is there some minimum limit?

Im not sure, I thought that as long as he started the streak would be mantained, but thats a good question

Stupid Nuggets announcers are talking about the Nuggets being able to run on us because it's our achilles heel. They're completely ignoring our real team is on the bench.

Look he won one playoff game for us with a big 4th quarter and OT. Does that give him lifetime immunity? He did nothing last year and it'd be silly to expect any more from him this year than we expect from Bonner or Oberto.

I swear to god perception is always reality for people who don't bother to do any research. These idiot announcers are talking about Beno's struggles and one of them says, "I remember him struggling handling the basketball in last year's playoffs."

Dude barely played last year in the playoffs outside of Game 3 at Sac. They're still fixated by his struggles against Lindsay Hunter. Just like Horry worshippers cling to the "big shot" stuff and forget the first 47 minutes of every playoff game.

Hmm. I'm remembering a LOT more than one shot. I almost shredded my Horry jersey from "popping" every time he hit a shot in that game. I think it was like 19 points from the last few seconds of the 3rd to the buzzer. I'm pretty sure he pulled that game out of his ass almost alone, and put himself in the position to hit the game winner. He sucked that regular season too.

edit: it was 21 points from the 1 second mark of the 3rd to the end of OT.

Is Beno drunk? He can't catch a pass and is hitting the side of the backboard on free throws.

Butler has more quality post moves in the last six quarters than Elson and Oberto had all season.

White coming a little back down to earth offensively, but defensively he's still looking sharp.

His gem at the end of the year in houston is what sealed his fate.

4 turnovers in darn near 2 minute stretch to damn near choke away a 63 win season.

Watch the game instead of reading stats fucktard.

"Watch the games," this coming from the Gamecast Commando.

Now you're trying to tell me that game 82 of the regular season when we had nothing to play for except some artificial team win record that means nothing is more important than the Portland game this year where we were still in the hunt for the 2 seed. If game 82 was so important last year, how come Pop wasn't playing his starters going for it?

Pop ruined Beno's confidence forever last year by playing a complete reject has been in Van Exel over him. NVE was DONE. I hope he doesn't repeat the mistake this year with trusting Horry too much when a younger, more energetic option like Bonner is available.

Pop has given Beno the chance to win the starting job ... but he continually got beat out by NVE and now Vaughn. The fact that Beno has stayed off the inactive list all season goes to show you how much Pop has tried to baby Beno.

Whatever TPark, continue to blatantly lie and exaggerate what I say. I never said Beno > Horry.

Here is my quote, right here:

No, Horry is the better player, but I'm not holding my breath for either one to contribute a lot in the playoffs.

But you read it how you want.

What I'm saying is I don't understand what old man Horry's accomplishments in '05 have to do with '07. Dude shot .360 this year and that doesn't inspire confidence.

As for Beno, he played very well most of last regular season when NVE was hurt. But the last month NVE got back into shape and Pop played him down the stretch and Beno was back to riding the pine. Pop even said that they signed NVE to be the backup PG in the playoffs and nothing Beno did was going to change that. He told Beno that before the '06 season even started.

aaronstampler
04-18-2007, 08:26 PM

Let's just ignore a whole 82 game season's worth of evidence. Let's just rip Barry because of a couple bad games against Dallas. Forget that he's been our 4th or 5th best player all year. One bad game, returning from a back injury and it's Barry sucks and Barry is a pussy. You're incredible.

Are you mental. I think you just are a pervert that loves little boys like Beno Udrih. There is no other possible reason a person could love Beno so much.

Horry Rebounds, gets Assists, Steals and Blocks every game along with a couple of points. So probally every playoff game of 47 minutes his stats would look like 6,2,2,1,9. 6 Boards, 2 Assists, 2 Steals, 1 Block, and 9 points. That is pure gold and solid. That is what is called being solid and contributing. I rather have those stats than 0,0,0,0,18. Beno usually gets 0,0,0,0,5 Turnovers,3 points.

Horry also helps out with Defensive Rotations not stop, and helps younger players, whereas Beno Udrih carries around purses and hits the side of the backboard on shots.

All I'm expecting from Horry is this....

solid defense

good decision making

rebounding

...He may have poor seasonal numbers this year but make no mistake about it, as mentioned several time on this board, Horry has a very high level of Basketball IQ. And that speaks volumes.

I used to love Barry and would often defend him till the death, but his shooting is way too spotty, and if he isn't shooting the ball well, there isn't much else he can really contribute to the team. His shot in the final minute of the Dallas game might've been the WORST SHOT OF THE SEASON.

Barry is making it really hard to be a fan of his game sometimes.

Yeah matt Bonner, maybe isn't a good choice to go to in the playoffs with this performance.

I will look at a player's body of work for the whole regular season than just the last couple of games, whether it's Brent, Horry, Tony, Manu or whoever.

add in the 2 or 3 made threes when kicked out to from Duncan and me and you are 100% on the same page.

Like I said, I hope Robert doesn't just kill us for the 12 minutes (or less) he'll be on the floor. If he can be a positive player, I'd be ecstatic.

Actually Horry looks a lot better when he doesn't shoot. If he can just pretend he's Dennis Rodman and just pass, defend and rebound, that'd be great. Unless it's a gimme lay-up, don't shoot.
