Ginobilli wants to jizz on George Karl so badly that he's been staying away from his wife for over a week now.

Ginobili. I'm just hoping he plays somewhat like the '05 Manu but that will be hard to do. You know George Karl will be ready for him to come off the bench so no surprises this year :lol

Bowen and Popovich :blah. Honestly I think that Duncan will play great against denver.

*edit:

Duncan, Parker, Manu and Bowen are not x-factors. An X-factor is an added bonus that will take you over the edge; if one of those guys doesn't show up, we are dead in the water.

Oops sorry, in this case I don't know who the x-factor might be. Probably finley or barry.

I don't think Manu is an x-factor anymore. You know you're gonna get between 15 and 25 from him almost every night.

I'd pick Elson.

Finley.

Elson @ his former team.

Finley, primed for bigtime playoffs overall, may be the x-factor all post-season.

Agree. The question isn't "who's gonna shine?" but who's gonna be the x factor
Manu isn't an unknown entity. It wouldn't be a big surprise if he does well vs the nuggets.

Id say Sisco too. Specially with Nene and Camby on the other side.

Barry. Finley starts, and Manu is going to play well anyway.

If Barry is drilling his shots, the Nugs will have to streeeeeeeeeeetch their (non-existant) defense for the entire series and it will give us open looks all over the court and free the lane up for penetration. Just keep Camby out of the middle and keep running picks to make that Nugget defense work. Bad teams hate working hard on defense, good teams thrive on it.

Manu- always. As Manu goes, so go the Spurs.

x factor can't be a starter (including Manu)

I'll say Finley or Barry (yes, I said it).

EDIT> I'll add the Red Rocket in there, too.

Brent Barry, Elson, and Horry in that order.

You know what your going to get from the big 3 and Bowen and Finley. Barry needs to hit his 3 pointers, Elson needs to stay on the floor and rebound against Nene and Camby, and Horry needs to get his confidence and game going.

why not? clearly in 2005 Manu was X factor vs. fuggets

I don't think Manu will be able to match that performance. I have my hopes up on Manu stepping it up a little but also Tony stepping it up (not like in 2005 where he dissapeared)

Didn't Tony win Game 4 in Denver in OT for the Spurs in 2005?

we are talking about X factor for SERIES not 1 game

Borosai

X-factor = 3-point shooters/shooting

You know these guys are going to jack up a bunch of threes. If Manu, Barry, Finley and Bowen are hitting, the Spurs win easy. If they go 6-24, there will be a huge problem.

Doesn't x-factor usually refer to something that's unknown or unexpected?

To me, it's like a Jaron Jackson or a Steve Kerr stepping up in a big game when you didn't expect it.

If this is the case, then Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Bowen can't be x-factors because you know they are going to play well.

I pick Elson. All he has to do is turn in one big game (preferably in Denver) and that could be enough to permanently sway the series.
