Is it just me or is this guy annoying? Over the last couple of days I have not read or head anything but cockiness and the belittling of the Spurs. The way the guys talks you would think the Nuggets have won 2 out of the last 4 championships and the Spurs are just another bump in the road. Most coaches will praise their opponent and would rather keep the bulletin board material to a minimum but this dude can't shut up.

u mustn't read much if you dont think GK praises the Spurs.

But at this time of the year do you think he will say 'they are unbeatable and we ahve no hope'? :drunk

Do you hear Popovich talking publicly about the reg season games aren't a good indicator of post season success? What about all of the match up problems the Spurs will impose the Nuggets? Interviewed yesterday Karl stated that when the Spurs zone ( according to him they will because they can't match up with AI or melo) they, the Nuggets, will simply start shooting 3's to get them out of the zone. That's great but should he be publicly stating his game plan or is he just being an arrogant ass? D'Antoni was interviewed yesterday as well and he sung the praises of the lakers and Kobe Bryant..very respectful and classy..then karl gets on the phone and sounds like a pompous fool..

The Spurs ARE a bump in the road to our Title.

He's just being honest.

The difference is Karl needs to (or feels he needs to) get some kind of psychological warfare going in order for Denver to win.

Pop correctly knows the Spurs don't need that, and in fact any attempt to generate something will only serve to fire the Nuggets up.

It's all just part of the game.

It's good to have a dream, no matter how lofty or unlikely. Keep hope alive.

i think we all can agree who the underdog is here. I can't believe threadstarter is so appalled at such a tactic.
