An Appeal To Laker Fans

To our purple and gold lovin' colleagues:

I was in Wal-Mart this morning and I came across a new DVD set - Return To Glory: Los Angeles Lakers 1984-85 NBA Champions Special Edition DVD. This set featured the official championship film as well as all six games of the 1985 Finals (although it's missing the first half of game one).

I am hopeful that if this thing sells well, this will encourage the NBA to issue similar multi-disc sets of other championship seasons - obviously, I'm hoping for 1999, 2000, and 2003.

So Laker fans, relive the glory days of Showtime, as Magic, Kareem, and company take their revenge for the 1984 Finals loss to the Boston Celtics. Watch the Lakers celebrate their first ever Finals clincher in Boston Garden. Support this release so that the rest of us might have our own.

You'll have my support. I have a set of championship series and playoffs from back in the day, I used to tape all games back then but I will look into purchasing the DVD set. Thanks for the info.
